Lavenham is a beautiful village in Suffolk with the largest concentration of timberframed medieval cottages in England. With its circular walks, teashops and restaurants, it is a popular day trip destination.

Beautiful Walks and Tea Rooms. Lavenham is one of the best preserved Medieval villages in the UK, boasting some 320 listed timber framed buildings, many of them protected by English Heritage. This unique village was created some 750 years ago by Henry III when he granted Lavenham ‘market status’ which stimulated the most prosperous period in the village’s history. We recommend: Lavenham Blue Vintage Tearooms 30mins drive

Beautiful, historic medieval town full of cafes, shops and crooked beamed buildings. About an hour and 15 mins away and well worth a visit.
