The Venise Verte (Green Venice) is another 'must do' day out while staying at the cottage. In the area known as Marais (meaning 'marsh' ) Poitevin it is miles of green covered canals - hire a canue!

A large area of interconnecting canals among the marshland. The boats are more like punts than gondolas.
