Although a small regional park, it has several good hiking trails. It's one of my favorite places to hike and is rarely crowded. The trails can be strenuous but worth it. There are several trail access points.

Windy Hill is named for its distinctive, breezy grass-covered hilltop. The 1,335-acre preserve features open grassland ridges and forests of redwood, fir, and oak.

“Unique to this area; Redwoods. Smell the forest as you hike surrounded by beautiful, dense Redwoods. Wear pants and the use of bug repellant is advised. Poison oak is also present "if you see three (leaves clustered) let it be", but it is beautiful.”
