Nothing has been more vital to Iceland’s survival than fishing, so it should be no surprise that there's an entire Iceland history museum dedicated to the nation’s maritime past. You can check out the country’s seafaring heritage at the Reykjavik Maritime Museum in the newly renovated part of Reykjavik's harbor, known as the Grandi area. 10 min drive

Excellent good quality fish for lunch. For sunny days we highly recommend this place, nice patio and view over the harbour

The Maritime museum is ok. But more importantly this is the infohub for all the Reykjavik City museums.
