Tips from locals
Enjoy the freshest seafood in town at this harborside local favorite. Walk Time: 15 minutes
Lunch or Dinner overlooking the Harbor and this is an easy walk from Villa Azul. Brophys gets crowded, so grab a pager and walk out to the end of the breakwater. You can also opt to order food to go from "On the Alley" or "Sushi GoGo" ( get the daily special) and find a spot to sit and eat…
On the harbor with great views. Best fish and chips you will every have! Great bloody mary's too! Sit outside on patio or at the bar to get the full experience. Note: that there is usually a wait but worth the wait.

Courthouse
“Completed in 1929, after an earthquake destroyed much of the city in 1925, this National (and State) Historic Landmark is one of the architectural jewels of the city. It's one of the top places to visit in Santa Barbara, not just to admire its graceful architecture, but also to enjoy beautiful views of the city from the clocktower. In the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, this eye-catching landmark occupies a full city block and is an example of Spanish-Colonial Revival style. As you wander the tiled corridors, notice the hand-painted ceilings; ornate tile work, some of which is from Tunisia and Spain; and wrought-iron chandeliers. Another highlight is the Mural Room, which tells the story of Santa Barbara's history. Free docent-guided tours are available at scheduled times. Surrounding the courthouse is a beautiful sunken garden, with palms and plants from more than 25 different countries. Concerts, community events, and weddings are often staged here, including some of the most evocative dance performances during the Old Spanish Days - Fiesta celebrations in early August. Photographers take note: For one of the city's best photo ops, take the elevator to the top of the 85-foot El Mirador clock tower for gorgeous views over the red-tiled roofs of the city towards the ocean. It's also a popular place for wedding proposals. Address: 1100 Anacapa Street, Santa Barbara, California”
