The food is okay but the ambiance is fantastic. See the old booth where JFK used to sit. Have a cocktail and some appetizers. A great stop if you find yourself in the Georgetown neighborhood.
(2 block walk, south on Wisconsin) - Popular tavern serving American eats in both a cozy interior with wooden booths & outdoors. JFK proposed to Jackie here. I recommend the beef stew and clam chowder. $$
It's a great place to start and sit in the same booth where John F. Kennedy asked Jackie to marry him.
