This mountain lodge is the Perfect starting point for the Besseggen hike. Parking by the Ferry docks. Takes 2 hours to drive here in the summer, across "Jotunheimvegen" (a mountain pass).

Gjendesheim, the flagship of DNT lodges, lies beautifully nestled at the east end of Lake Gjende, one of the principal gateways to this part of the Jotunheimen.

Beregn snaue 2 timer til Gjendesheim turisthytte. Herfra kan du ta båten på Gjendevannet inn til Memrubu og gå Besseggen eller helt inn til Gjendebu i enden av Gjendevannet og gå f.eks. Bukkelægret til Memrubu. Anbefales!
