Places to go, things to do

Ferry port and resort town, with protected beach and restaurants: 1. AKROGIALI or ΑΚΡΟΓΙΑΛΗ Next to Neo Market 2. KORALI or ΚΟΡΑΛΙ, at other end, past Hotel Delfini, keep moving away from ferry boats There are lots of cafes, restaurants, tavernas, and a few bars along the sea-front. Easy to find! The road is closed off to traffic at around 9pm in the summer months, so great for strolling, and for children.

Limnionas beach: Warm waters and nice tavernas, the best one is the first (towards the south) on the corner, sort of perched on a wall, with the bendy road passing beneath it. This beach is on the east coast, so waters are warmer compared to say Nea Styra beach, which is on the west coast. But on a very windy day, with Northern winds, Nea Styra is more protected.

Food Scene

For European cuisine, and the most upmarket restaurant in all of Nea Styra, head to Sunday's restaurant. Their pinsas are truly delicious. It's right next to the beach, and there's a bar next door. It's bustling in July- August; open throughout the year, but the menu is more limited in off season.

City advice

Book before you go

Scuba diving lessons in our swimming pool as a group; if you like it, dive in the sea too!

Try scuba diving with your group in Delenia. If you want to go in the sea, the dive centre is happy to arrange that. If you're already experienced, then there are plenty of dive sites around Karystos (Dikelas Dive centre) or in Petries (Petries Divers, in Petries/Agioi Apostoloi) which is a natural harbour about 45 mins north of Delenia.
