Hawkhow Cottage, Glenridding

Hawkhow Cottage compromises four bedrooms and sleeps seven comfortably or eight cosily. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms (one King, one double and one twin) and a bathroom. Downstairs there is an additional bedroom (small double), a shower room and a traditional Aga-warmed kitchen. The glass and oak-framed extension provides a large living room with log burning stove and a galleried dining area. The property will be prepared ready for your arrival with freshly laundered bed linen and bath towels supplied for your stay. We have provided a selection of games, puzzles and toys to keep you entertained inside (and the optional use of a TV and Xbox One) as well as books, maps and guides to help you plan your activities outside. There is ample parking on-site. Guests also have shared use of the main house’s extensive gardens and grounds, including the sauna. Please note that the garden is steep with drop-offs in places, it has a number of steps and paths that can be extremely slippery, as well as running water courses, ponds and bridges. As well as having Ullswater on your doorstep for sailing, kayaking and wild swimming, there are a number of fabulous walks and bicycle rides that can be started from the cottage without ever needing to get into your car. Keen walkers can even start the climb to Helvellyn by walking up the garden to join recognised footpaths. Glenridding is a beautiful 15 minute walk along the Lake and provides a number of cafes, pubs and shops as well as access to the famous Ullswater Steamers. A slightly longer walk along the Lake in the opposite direction will take you past Glencoyne Bay, the inspiration for William Wordsworth’s ‘Daffodils’ poem, to the popular Aira Force waterfall and trails maintained by the National Trust.

Stable Cottage is a 200 year old traditional slate-clad cottage in the picturesque village of Threlkeld within the Lake District National Park, just 4 miles from Keswick. It sleeps up to six, and has recently been renovated with a seamless blend of the traditional and contemporary. Sitting in a quiet lane at the foot of Blencathra, the views of this magnificent mountain from the cottage are simply stunning. It provides a perfect peaceful break from the hustle and bustle of normal daily living.

A fantastic 2 bedroom ground floor house, with world class views. Main bedroom is a comfortable King sized bed, with second bedroom having two single beds with ample space to move about in. Log burner in living room for cosy nights in. Al fresco dining picnic tables front & back. Keswick is 4 miles away (taking railway track on foot, crisscrossing over the river Greta). Doorstep walking. SMART TV, Games, DVDs and books for those rainy days. Escape and enjoy the views. Note - residents upstairs.

Snug Cottage

Snug Cottage is located at the bottom of Blencathra. It’s a perfect base to explore all local walks and enjoy the local surroundings. Within a couple of minutes walk from Snug Cottage there is a lovely coffee shop & two pubs. We are 5-10 minutes to the Railway Line which is a 4 mile walk which takes you to the closest town, Keswick - here you will find supermarkets & shops. As well as stunning views and walks, we are happy to recommend day trips and things to do.

Garth Cottage is a fully renovated two bedroom, two bathroom cottage set at the foot of Blencathra in the village of Threlkeld, which Boasts two lovely pubs a Coffee shop and lots of nice walks from the door including the threlkeld to Keswick walk along the old railway line. After a good walk in the lakes what better way to help the legs recover than the private Hot tub with fantastic views of Clough head.
