“A wonderful place to stay to explore the surrounding wilderness area. The hosts go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and are easy to communicate with. The house is very clean and the hosts have really gone out of their way to ensure guests feel safe during this pandemic. While not a full kitchen, it is really well stocked for any kind of meal preparation and the grill outside works great. The gas firepit was a treat and the hosts provide so many goodies like marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, oatmeal, granola bars, and plenty of coffee and tea. (Note that there is a small dry goods store next door but the closest real grocery store is 50 miles away). The outdoor shower is nice, wifi worked great, and the beds comfortable! This is an amazing, fantastic spot and we hope to be back!”

“The Celestial yurt at Tired Dog Ranch is a must visit! My husband and I absolutely adored the space and we were wowed by how big the yurt was and everything they had in there. There was basically every amenity you could ask for (minus laundry and AC but hey, it's a yurt.) The grounds it is on are absolutely lovely with a sweet old dog and numerous chickens abounding. It was also a very close drive to the local restaurants, grocery shops, and hiking areas. I would 100% go back, just maybe not during a weekend when the temps hit 106 F ! Oh, and Sally was very kind and helped my husband surprise me with a bouquet of flowers in the yurt before we arrived.”
This beautiful picturesque cabin overlooks A creek surrounded by forest, wildlife, and rivers. Read a book in a hammock overlooking the creek, enjoy a peaceful soak in the hot tub while listening to the running river, or enjoy a cup of coffee while gazing out at nature and listening to the surrounding wildlife. Frequently visited by deer, geese, a great blue heron and much more.
“In times of physical distancing, this was a fantastic location. It has several hundred feet of private river front for wading, minnow watching, plunging, and rock skipping. The river bank was shady with two well placed hammocks. It reached 100 degrees while we were there, but down in the shade by the river it felt at least 20 degrees cooler. The cabin is beautifully built and comfortable.”
