Family-friendly holiday rentals in Tonbridge

Great comfy stay for me and my friends. Last minute booking but Sarah, the host, was responsive and very helpful/detailed in her instructions. Place was clean and very spacious with all the modern facilities, big comfy beds and enough to keep large families happy and entertained. Hot tub was great bonus too. We did bbqs and cooked every night. Waking up to the Nespresso was great too. Area is a quiet haven and the big supermarkets are a short drive away. Bungalows in the drive to make it look like a scene out of neighbours! Will hope to visit again soon.

What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

we stayed with family and friends for the Easter weekend. The hosts were friendly and responsive. Christine welcomed us at the house and showed us around so we knew how everything worked. The house is a lovely space and exactly as described and shown in the pictures. we had a lot of fun. all of the kitchen essentials are provided and so much more. we would love to stay here again.

What a beautiful cottage! Exactly like on the photos, very charming. Surroundings are stunning, hot tub was a treat. The kitchen is very well equipped with anything you might need. Beds were comfortable and cozy. The conservatory was great to just sit and play board games and have lovely meals, was nice and warm and toastie in there and the views!! Pauline’s communication and response times were excellent, very friendly and accommodating. All I would suggest, if possible is perhaps to think of some sort of covers/shelter from the cold/wind by the hot tub. It was very windy and we still wanted to enjoy the hot tub, but it got very cold whilst inside. Some sort of coverings will work a treat. Pauline suggested some great pubs and things to do in the area. All and all my friends and I had a lovely stay. Thanks Pauline!

We came as a group of 4 and a dog. The house is beautiful and contains everything you need. The kitchen is great with all the items you need. The living/dinning room works very well and with the bifold doors just adds an extra touch during the summer time. The bedrooms are also great with very comfortable beds. The showers are good. The house was very clean without any problems to share. We would for sure book again if we decided to explore this part of the country. Thank you

Amazing stay in a cozy well equipped accommodation. Location was perfect with easy access to trainline/underground to get directly into london. Jan was very responsive and gave great instructions for the stay.

Martin was a proactive and friendly host who was so sensitive to our needs (as we'd been through a difficult time as a family). Instructions were thorough. clear and helpful. Check in and check out was as flexible as possible. We also appreciated the bottle of bubbles as well as all the other basics like tea, coffee, etc. Martin's additional info on getting to & from our evening entertainment/venue was invaluable & beyond helpful. We had a lovely stay at Driftwood. The house was just as described and pictured. Parking was a bit tricky due to the layout of the buildings but not an issue. The house itself was beautiful with a lovely beach theme throughout, equipped with everything you could need, and perfectly located within easy reach of the beach, town, restaurants and train line to Brighton. Simone was a great host from start to finish, checking in with us to ensure all was ok and even telling us where the parasol was for the decking when she realised how warm it was. Altogether a perfect long weekend away was had!

Large open living room, great for entertaining our entire family. Huge kitchen with plenty of utensils/etc. Large, clean full bathrooms. Bedrooms very comfortable! Highly recommend!

We booked Dani’s house to have a few days away with our 4 young granddaughters. The house was perfect. Very well equipped with lots of board games for the girls. We ate in every day and the kitchen/dining room was great for big family meals. The house itself is really pretty in a private, small estate, that is very quiet. It’s cosy and homey inside with lots of personal touches. The bus stop is just round the corner on the main road. The beach is about a 5 minute walk the other side of the main road. However the climb up the dunes takes a little longer…they almost did nanny in 😂. But it was absolutely worth the climb! Beautiful, never ending beach. There is an easier walk onto the beach next to the car park further down. Dani was very helpful at all times. She should be very proud of her lovely house. Anny London

What a find?! Myself and my 2 best friends had the most amazing stay at the pool house. It was just perfect. So many wonderful little touches, balloons for my friends birthday, the breakfast treats. Could not rate this place any higher! Will definitely be back x

We fell in love with Evegate Manor Barn from the moment we arrived! It’s in a stunning location, felt very private and was the perfect first night away for us and our four month old baby! Larissa was responsive, understanding when we needed to change dates and was so helpful and welcoming! The pool and hot tub are an added bonus and our little one loved to see the chickens and explore the garden! Having the artisan village next door was amazing and we enjoyed our evening at the pub! This listing has everything you could ask for and we would love to come back later this year! Amazing hosts too, thankyou for making our stay so easy ☺️

Fabulous week, swallows nest cottage was lovely and the swimming pool was great, we were the only ones in there each time. Chris even opened the pool early for us which was much appreciated. Used the steam room too and the fabulous hot tub - had fabulous walks with our two spaniels, along the coast to Firehills was our favourite. The Cove pub was amazing, very dog friendly, warm (log fire) and welcoming, food fantastic. All in all a really lovely week. Chris and Erik very ready to help but totally happy to leave you to enjoy their lovely gardens etc. We’ll be back! Thank you Chris and Erik

Although the entrance from the street is a bit old looking, once the apartment door is opened, one realizes what a wonderful spot it is. There were all the amenities I needed, the bed and couch were quite comfortable. It was a great walk to my office across the river. (and of course, Battersea park is very closeby). The host was very responsive to my questions. I hope the apartment is available the next time I am in London!

We enjoyed a wonderful long Easter weekend in this charming cottage. The space was cozy and perfectly appointed, lots of old charm - original cottage was built in 1550! - and special touches that delighted our children and made us feel like we were in quite a magical little space. The gardens are beyond gorgeous and just a lovely space to sit in the sunshine and watch our children play. It was a wonderful weekend filled with children’s laughter, bird song and cozy nights by the fire as a family. Thank you Tim & Maite for sharing your gorgeous cottage with us. The children are already asking we come back soon!

For my first holiday away with my 2 beautiful children I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better stay. The cottage is beautiful, the gardens and surrounding grounds are stunning, simply a lovely place to be. We spent a lot of time in the cottage and use if the new fire pit in the evenings as it was so peaceful and relaxing. 2 main attractions for us were Pooh Corner with Ashdown Forrest for all your Winnie the Pooh adventures, and Hever Castle which is a lovely day out. Tennis courts and a lovely pool to boot ❤️❤️❤️ Caroline left some beautiful touches, some Easter treats for my children and a host of food and fresh juice, lovely 😍❤️

This house is absolutely fantastic. Our group of 9 including a teen and two 9-year-olds stayed very comfortably for a week with a typically English mix of weather and the house accommodated us amply. The spaces were all individual, relaxing and full of beautiful furniture and art, we loved the characterful high-ceilinged garden room and the sitting room big enough for all 9 of us to play games. All the first floor bedrooms were large with comfortable beds and generous storage, and the second floor attic with two bedrooms and a relaxing space between was a great little world away. The rambling garden and the tennis court, trampoline, warm pool and table tennis were a real hit with our group. Locally there was something for everyone, highlights including great walks from the house along the river and up onto the spine of the South Downs, and garden visits to High Beeches and Sussex Prairie Gardens. Enzo and Lucy are well deserved superhosts, we would return in a heartbeat.

We were very impressed on arrival. Lovely peaceful grounds, pool bigger than we’d expected and great games area. Good place to stay with our extended family, good central location, really enjoyed nearby Canterbury. We were lucky with the weather. We visited Howletts zoo & 2 different sea-sides. The house is quite warm, it’s great fans are provided in all bedrooms. Improvements- Need better extraction for the kitchen- & update the book on what to do if the smoke alarm goes off! The agency were quick to help but with poor phone signal this was tricky to arrange. Bigger beds/ new mattresses Downstairs loo had no toilet lid Other reviews mentioned cobwebs & the place seeming a bit ‘tired’, I’d agree with some of that but it didn’t stop us having a wonderful time & a few cobwebs don’t bother me, everything else was clean and we’d love to return .
