Family-friendly holiday rentals in Totonicapán Department

We had a fantastic stay at the property . The scenery and setting of this property is just serene . We were a group of 10 with adults and kids . The kids loved the place so much that they refused to even leave the property . Had a very restful 3 days of Christmas . We stayed over the Christmas break and walked to a nearby local church for the midnight service . Don Miguel ,,George and Theresa ( the helpers on the property ) were always available and very helpful . I wanted to leave a word of appreciation for Sylvia . She is super helpful and very responsive . Was always available to answer questions and provide a lot of helpful recommendations . By far the best Airbnb host that I have interacted with . Overall a wonderful experience

We stayed for 10 days and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Initially, we thought the description meant we could see the lake from where we stayed but it is really visible from the garden with a beautiful place to sit. The house is very comfortable and plenty of hot water etc. It felt very homelike, not a typical airbnb and we were very very happy there. Leisa even let us use her big kitchen oven to bake a cake and roast veggies although the one with the Casita was perfectly adequate for most things. Jaibalito is quiet, no doubt about it but there’s an easy hike to Santa Cruz if you want more excitement! Indigo bistro in front of the house is a great place to eat also.

It was a pleasure to stay in Nathalie’s place during the days we spent on Atitlán lake. We had a lovely time there and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the calm and the beautiful view of the lake.

Todo súper bien! La casa es cómoda y espaciosa tiene todo lo que se necesita para pasar un par de días descansando! El sauna y el jacuzzi en la tarde es la manera perfecta de terminar el día. El paddleboard es alegrísimo, las camas cómodas y una televisión grande y un sofá cómodo perfecto para descansar. Tiburcio y Marina también súper amables y dispuestos a ayudar!

The place was very nice, everything clean well put together, the kitchen came with alot of household items, coffee, cooking oil, plates , everything you would need.The view of the lake was beautiful, the outside little patio was a nice hangout spot for a coffee and to relax. Diego was very friendly, helpful and understanding. Responded quickly and had answers right away, provided us with transportation from the dock to the house and as our own little private tour guide around the lake. Very satisfied with the stay, do recommend to book with Diego and Oasis, definitely would come stay again! Thanks again Diego and Oasis for everything. Ask for Chema if your looking for some quick transportation around the area, very friendly, knows his way around.

Elvias hosting was great since the very beginning! The communication was very easy, the place was cleaner than we expected , and the birds singing in the morning is a plus! My family and I loved it very much! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

Beautiful home to be in touch with nature. Beautiful scenic views of the mountains. Location is private in a quiet town, with not much things to do, perfect for those who want quietness. Take note that theres a large amount of rocky steps before entering the home, however staff and helpers are available to help with luggage. Since the home is in the middle of nature, there are many bugs, but are harmless. Would recommend to shop for food before entering town, or communicate with the staff to set up cooking services a few days before. Host and staff were extremely helpful with accommodating us and connecting us to a personal boat driver, where we were able to visit the other towns. Instructions were clear and communication was great! Overall enjoyed my peaceful stay at the Seed.

The views here are INSANE. I would’ve stayed at the Airbnb the entire time if I could. Markus was also very friendly and accommodating. I mistakenly took the keys by accident and he was very understanding and we came up with a plan to get them back to him. Highly recommend!!! The stairs are KILLER but soooo worth it once you get to the top. We called one of the recommended tuc tuc drivers, Lucas, to bring us there and he helped carry our luggage all the way to the top. He was great!

It is a beautiful place with good views and access to the lake. The house has a longer checkout time so in the morning we went to San Juan village and we are not that in rush to checkout. By the lake the volcano views is gorgeous, even sitting at the patio outisde the kitchen you can see the volcano and a lots of stars in the night. However, better to use a 4x4 car to arrive. And there is a 5 minutes staircases walking down to arrive the house. The house is quite warm, not as chill as in the outside. The house is equipped well. A good choice for a group of people accomodation.

Beautiful house right on the lake, bedrooms were very comfortable. I liked having the kitchen and lounge open air as that’s where I want to be when at the lake. We enjoyed the dogs, the friendly old cat and all the birds. Tons of flowers. Elaine was very helpful with trail info and a boat contact. We didn’t end up kayaking this time but you’re perfectly situated to do so.

Casita pitaya es un lugar muy bonito, ubicado a unos cuantos pasos de la playa del lago, (llegar es fácil solo pongan IMAP en el mapa) la casa está justo a la par, hay una tienda de conveniencia cerca de la casa los señores que venden justo enfrente de la casa son de las personas más radiantes y amables que e conocido, al igual El buen Hernán, el caserío pachitulul es un lugar mágico como sus cercanías cerro de oro (dónde está la 🚪 ixbalam) lugar que inspiro al autor del libro el principito, la anfitriona IxChel, fue extremadamente atenta, la propiedad tiene múltiples árboles frutales (asta me permitieron tomar unos cuantos 🍋 hice una deliciosa limonada wow) pararse en la puerta de la cocina y contemplar la vista, vale toda la pena !!! baño, toalla, camas, todo impecable y limpio, ES IMPORTANTE ENTENDER QUE LA CASITA PITAYA es un lugar para alejarse de la civilización, no es un lugar como San Pedro, San Juan, San Marcos, es un lugar de paz dónde se puede tener conexión.

We had a lovely stay here. The place is comfy and well equipped. Basics like coffee, olive oil and balsamic which is useful as well as a water filter. Great views from the balcony. It’s away from the noise of the main town which is why we chose it but worth noting the walk from town is around 25-30 minutes or a Q10pp tuktuk.

El lugar es un lugar privado accesible mayormente por el lago (vía lancha) aunque se puede caminar muy a gusto por un sendero a la orilla del lago, un lugar hermoso con una excelente vista, a tener en cuenta es el horario de las lanchas, ya que regularmente después de las 6 se tiene que contratar una lancha privada, sin duda regresaríamos pues el lugar es excelente

Adita is a really nice host. I only stayed one night at her place and it was a pleasure to meet her and to chat with her a little. She is very welcoming and uncomplicated. Her dog, Gadget, is so sweet. She has a beautiful garden. It was a pleasure for me to be there.

La vista es absolutamente hermosa, perfecta para relajarse y disfrutar de la tranquilidad del lago. La comunicación fue excelente, con respuestas rápidas y muy amables. La cocina está equipada con todos los utensilios necesarios, lo cual hizo nuestra estadía muy cómoda. Además, está muy bien ubicado, cerca de San Pedro y San Juan, lo que permite explorar fácilmente la zona. Un lugar muy agradable al que sin duda esperamos volver pronto.

Preciosa cabaña en una calle sumamente tranquila. Nos sentimos muy seguros. Muy poco tráfico, y cerca de restaurantes.

Muy lindo lugar, la vista al lago de Atitlan es increíble.

We enjoyed the great views of Lake Atitlan. The manager was helpful and quick to respond to any issues we had. He guided us well to the place. We enjoyed having pizzas being made by the chef, although slightly surprised at the total cost.

Marcos was beyond helpful during our stay at his beautiful lake house! He greeted us personally when we arrived and was quick to respond to our questions. He provided a guide with local restaurants and activities which made exploring easier. The home was spotless, welcoming, and such a restful place to relax. We hope to be back to visit in the future, and would highly recommend Marcos’ home as a place to stay!

Came with a group of 5 Freinds … the grounds are beautiful and well kept. Bbq area, pool, hammocks, very serene and the pier is close by … there are lots of stairs so be aware with luggage and walking. We had Claudia and her mother cook two nights for us and the food was amazing… I would have a list of items you will require so they get them for you since there isn’t a store nearby. You are definitely pretty remote. Boat is the easiest way to get around. I’d come back again and explore the other villages/towns nearby. San Juan was fun with lots of shops and coffee and chocolate factories
