This guest house is a renovated 120-year-old private house located in the traditional streets of Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture (Yamamachi Suji).Located approximately a 10-minute walk from Takaoka Station, the property also offers excellent transport links to Toyama, Kanazawa, the Amahara Kaigan Coast, Himi, Tonami and Jozan.If you have a car, you can easily get to Noto, the World Heritage Site of Gokayama and Shirakawa-go, the Kurobe-Tateyama Alpine Route, and the sights of Takayama. It can be used as a base for sightseeing in Takaoka, not only in Yamamachisuji, but also in the foundry town of Kanayamachi (10 minutes on foot), Takaoka Daibutsu (10 minutes on foot), Takaoka Castle Ruins (15 minutes on foot), and the national treasure Zuiyuji Temple (25 minutes on foot). "Yoko's Inn Wakuwaku" is a "separate" inn adjacent to the creative home cooking restaurant "Wakuwaku", limited to one group per day. There is a private entrance. The first floor is a living space with a dining table, and the second floor is a bedroom. From the window, you can see the vast rural landscape and the Northern Alps Tateyama mountain range in the distance. Guests can optionally have breakfast, dinner, etc. (breakfast 1,000 yen, dinner from 2,000 yen. Please ask). Features of this inn include songs and saxophone performances by the owner couple, a wood stove experience, a barbecue in the garden, and calligraphy lessons (extra charge).
