Family-friendly holiday rentals in Tysnes Municipality

Two colleagues used the place for collaborative work on a writing project and had a great stay.

We were a group of 13 people and had a wonderful time! :) (even saw some Northern Lights!!) Definitely recommend the place:)

A really wonderful place Jan has here for his guests. Perfectly located on the fjord. Short distances to hikes and to Bergen (about 1 hour). The house has everything you need and more. Saltwater pool, pizza oven, gas grill, charcoal grill, diving boards into the fjord, a small boat, kayaks and much more. We had a great time and would be happy to come back :)

Great cabin! Big and nice in nice surroundings

Cheerful host. Easy to communicate with and responds to messages. The experience was up to expectations - very nice cabin of high standard.

We had an amazing time at Jarle’s place. It’s equipped with everything to have the perfect holiday one could wish for NYE in Norway from a cosy living-room equipped with a beautiful fireplace and a great view over the mountains all the way to a Sauna which was great. The surrounding nature is just beautiful! Jarle is the perfect host for us and a great communicator. From tips to where we hike or ski to where we can fish or swim we got all the information we wanted plus a lot of help when we most needed! It was a pleasure to spend the holidays at Jarle’s place.

Spacious house with great views

It was a very nice vaccation, the owner is very helpfull and friendly.

Only stayed 2 nights as a stopover during our return trip to the Netherlands. Fitjar itself and the area around the cabin is very nice. Nice that there was a boat with which we could go on the fjord. Cottage is fine with a nice terrace and the company of sheep.

Everything was very good

Cozy house. We spent two nights with our 2.5 year old daughter. We visited the sheep who lived longer out on Øyen. The small library was very popular. The kitchen was well equipped, with several waffles!

This was an exceptional property we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any of our friends family and acquaintances

It’s a wonderful house with a great view on the fjord. Everything you want is in the house. We had terrible wheater but enjoyed the darts, PlayStation and BBQ. Great that the terrace is covered! Supermarket is nearby, 2 minute drive. Great place to stay for a few days. Hans is a great host

It's the second time we've been to Monica's place and it's been just great both times☺️! If someone is going to Bergen, we recommend going here. Very quiet place!

Kari is the perfect host, everything is as described in the listing, the rorbu super clean and she is very quick to respond if you have any questions. Have only positive things to say about both Kari and her rorbu 👍😊

We spent definitely one of the best moments at Knut and Ragnar's Airbnb Tiny House! Ragnar is one of the best hosts we have ever met, nice, open, flexible, we got a very nice welcome with a smile and good atmosphere since start of our journey:) We got also many valuable tips about the area. The view around is breathtaking. The Tiny house is uncommonly cozy, smart home<3 That was an absolutely wonderful stay, thank you!

Very cozy cottage behind the host's main house directly on the fjord with access to the water. Beautiful decor, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed in the attic overlooking the fjord. Despite 25°C and sun, we were able to sleep very well there and felt very comfortable. However, the place is not so suitable for activities, as you always have a long journey and there is only one road. However, this can be accepted, as the location is unique.

A lovely little cottage with good amenities. There is a lot to discover in the area and also the campsite is super nice and offers many activities. We felt very comfortable!

We had a great time in Ann-Kristin and Laila's cabin. They had made it incredibly cozy by decorating for Christmas with lights and Christmas trees. The cabin was also clean and prepared for our visit. The location is amazing and it was easy to find. The hosts were very easy to deal with and responded quickly. I can highly recommend this place.

Marita and Tomas are very nice, warm people. Marita greeted us upon arrival and showed us around and explained things (e.g., how to access the kayaks) in a very clear and unhurried way. They both did a fantastic job communicating with us before our arrival, and provided lots of helpful advice while there (e.g., recommendation of a wonderful restaurant in Bergen). Although Tomas and Marita live on the floor above the Airbnb flat, we never felt “crowded” by them. In fact, at my request, Tomas was able to respond immediately to come down to help us figure out the TV…and he was incredibly good natured about it. Location was terrific, too: close to Bergen and all it offers, including the focal museums, as well as minutes from an excellent University of Bergen arboretum & botanical garden. Highly recommend this place, as well as Tomas & Marita as people!

Ida and Torstein are amazing hosts. They showed us the area, shared the history of the place and recommended beautiful hikes around. The house is charming and has plenty of genuine details, which made us curious about the place we had a pleasure to stay in. One can find everything what is needed in the house: kitchen equipment, stunning view from windows, cozy fireplace and positive vibes of slowing down 🥰 The place is definitely highly recommended! Takk for oss! 🫶

Wr had such a magical Christmas time staying here so we could be with my Sister and her family and to celebrate her baby's Baptism is Rosendal too on Christmas Day. It was such a beautiful wooden lodge we enjoyed thw fire so cosy. It was like a home from home and had everything we needed.

We spent a week of Easter at Irene's place. The house and its location are perfect- great apartment, great views, all as described. The view of the fjord from the living area alone is worth the money paid. With Irene, we also had an always available, helpful and friendly host!
