The apartment is situated at Finse station, 1222 m above sea level, between Oslo and Bergen. This amazing place is surrounded by two national parks. Unwind in an almost noiseless area to be reached only by train, bike, skis or foot. Popular summer activities are hiking in the mountains or on the glacier, biking to Flåm, and fishing. Popular winter activities are skiing and ski kiting/ski sailing. Enjoy the famous film location for the Star Wars "The empire strikes back", recorded in 1979.

The internet is somewhat slow in the bedrooms, but works fine for streaming and similar in the living room. In winter you can not park on the plot, but in a parking lot so you have to walk for 2 min to get to the cabin.

A slightly steep road and a few bends lead you here to peace and quiet, tucked away in a small rustic apartment in a basement, with plenty of nature nearby. The house is ideal for use during winter. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Boat with motor is included in the rent during spring, summer and fall. Due to a generation change at Øydve, there are 2 claims regarding Sjohageløa, but this claim is the one that applies after 12/31/2022

Man kan kun nå Finse med tog, ikke med bil. Selve togturen til Finse med bergensbanen er en opplevelse i seg selv!

In our garden, we kept hens, ducks, sheep and a horse.
