Farmstay holiday rentals in Union County

I rented this cabin for my uncle and my 2 cousins to celebrate my uncle’s soon-to-be 95th birthday. My cousin said it was easy to find and to get inside. They planned to do some fishing and they had a question about what kind of bait they should use in the lake and their question was answered promptly The only area of concern was that there had been some wet towels left in the bathtub, and my cousin said it made the inside smell very “mildewed”. She tried to wash the towels, but the washer was new and needed to be programmed or reset, so she couldn’t use it…. One of the hosts, Jerry, called me (I wasn’t staying at the cabin) and explained about the washer being new. I didn’t fully understand that the issue was the towels had left the cabin smelling moldy until my cousin explained it to me. But Jerry quickly called me to explain the issue with the washer and he said if we needed clean towels to leave the dirty ones outside the front door and they would wash them.

We loved our stay, it was very cozy on a chilly night. I loved the high ceilings in here, it felt very open and spacious. I’d love to do another’s girls trip here! We especially loved the fireplace and watching old movies on the dvd player.

We enjoyed the beautiful wide porch with lots of bird sitings and the small lake with lots of turtles sunning themselves. Very peaceful!

Great place to stay with a family or group! Loved the little touches of board games, books and fun art. Clean and relaxing, great outdoor setup for cookouts:)

The lodge has a lot of room for large families or larger parties. The building was clean and was what we expected from the description.

Stayed here a few times now. Love the space and the surroundings. Good spot to get to various preserves and trails. Will stay again as I love the farm fresh eggs too!

We had a wonderful stay on the farm and wish we could have stayed longer! Everything here was absolutely perfect. Marte is the kindest and most thoughtful host who will make you feel right at home. She even left us some snacks which were much appreciated. The property is so beautiful and brings a sense of peace. We got a great night of sleep and felt very comfortable and welcome here. We will definitely return next time we find ourselves in the area!

Such a wonderful experience from start to finish! Leah’s home is absolutely beautiful with the ultimate charm. She gave us the warmest welcome and showed us around, but it wasn’t until we settled into our room that I noticed the all of the finishing touches that made this stay so memorable…the beds were SO comfortable, the smell in the house is intoxicating, the bathroom floors are heated (which she didn’t mention but I noticed immediately as my feet hit the floor), and all the extra amenities that no one knew they wanted (but I promise you do) ♥️ I could go on and on. She definitely takes the B&B experience to the next level. Breakfast was amazing! I’ve already told 3 people about this place so it’s safe to say, I’ll definitely be back!

We enjoyed this cute home immensely. it was cozy and quaint. Just a perfect little get away.

We had a great stay! We brought our two dogs with us and the Stablehouse is big enough that we weren't cramped. My son loved that there were tinker toys, coloring books/markers and DVDs available (and he loved going to see the chickens). The lanterns were a welcome amenity with the dogs being early birds. Beautiful in the Fall, private location but still close to our areas of interest. We were gone for most of daylight but enjoyed coming back to the house to wind down. Easy access to Cobden (Iron Whisk breakfast!), Giant City, Little Grand Canyon, Pomona, with Bald Knob and multiple wineries just down the road.

This property is located in the country on a beautiful estate. If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay, where you can see the stars at night and watch a stunning sunset…this is the place. I can’t say enough about Dru, she is a wonderful host and cooks some amazing home cooked meals. We were there for a retreat with friends and to celebrate birthdays, she did a great job making our stay memorable. She can arrange horseback riding or relaxing massages if that’s what you are looking for. This property is located about a two hour drive south of St. Louis; however it’s an easy drive mostly highway. I am already looking forward to my next visit! Thanks Dru, for being an amazing host.

Property was as described and worked well for our needs being in area for Tunnel Hill 100 race based out of Vienna, IL. Nice surprise of fresh fruit and some pastry provided on our arrival. We did some cooking and everything we needed was available in terms of cookware and even some cooking oil and salt which we had forgotten. Nice secluded location and privacy.

We had a wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed. It is very peaceful! We went hiking and to the wineries and Irish Festival. The Airbnb was a perfect location for all our activities. Kathy was a great host!

Very clean and neat. The cabin is a little tricky to find at first but if you follow the directions, it really isn’t too bad. The hot tub was very clean and the kitchen was too. I wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip to this cabin in the future.

such an incredible airbnb! it was a highlight for our trip. The Vineyards in the morning are gorgeous and it's walking distance to Alto Vineyards and Haversham Bar. the kitchen has everything you'd need which was great for my group. I highly recommend this airbnb , it's truly fabulous!
