“Are you tired and want to relax? Do you need to get away from all the hustle and bustle? You just found the perfect place ! This small and cozy cottage lies within the "Peku Peku" site which consists of other houses but lies far enough away so that you dont even notice other guests if you dont want to. You can find good and cheap food in the local village or with one of the hotels in the vicinity - just remember to always be nice and relaxed like the locals :D The Beach is 5 minutes away and easily reachable by foot. Your host Andrew is one of the most chill guys you ever met. He can give you some ideas about what to do in Zanzibar, but if you just want to chill out and need your privatsphere that is totally fine. Overall its a great place to calm down and we would absolutely love to come again!”
Kae Minazini Michamvi Accommodation be situated on the outskirts of the village of Michamvi Kae, located on Chwaka Bay on the east coast of Zanzibar. If you are looking for peace, relaxation and a little solitude on snow-white beach and azure water, is this the place for you. We currently have 1 guest house for 2 persons in a closed area. The accommodation is about 100 meters from the beach. The area offers many opportunities for activities and tropical nature experiences.
“Yussuph's place was divine. The compound is peaceful, secure and has a lovely community house where meals are served. The beach is literally 2 minutes away. Just know that the tides fluctuate from dry beds to water up past the sand. You have to check the tides to swim. But even lowest tide is beautiful and watching the women farming seaweed is wonderful. The Swahili house is made of authentic materials and decorated with lovely shells. The one room house has a comfortable foam bed with net, desk and shelves. The floors are wall to wall covered with mats. I had great water pressure and the no problems with the toilet. There are several restaurants nearby --several beachfront--that are delicious and atmospheric. Try all the juices offered and the shakes! Yussuph is a wonderful cook and every breakfast is delicious with fresh fruits, chapatti & omelet and fabulous fresh squeezed juice. There is a quiet, peaceful mellow vibe here that was ideal for my R&R I needed from my work on the mainland. Thank you Yussuph!”
This amazing mini villa has perfect view, beautiful shapes and interior. It feels like piece of heaven, your own beautiful place with big garden and long oceanfront. Stairs take you to swim and here you rest your evening - in candle light if you feel so. We can prepare you dinner inside the room or to the beach, as you wish.
“Came to Afya Village with some friends for a girls trip and couldn't have been happier with our choice. We are not the type for big, fancy hotels and we've all traveled Africa extensively, so we were looking for something low key, authentic and centered in nature - this was it! After spending the days exploring beautiful tide pools, and picturesque beaches by boat and on foot, it felt like coming back to our own personal beach house with a home cooked meal with our friends. The food was simple but special with a local flair and very thoughtful touches; the location couldn't have been more ideal (we wanted something away from tourist crowds but close to nice beaches); the staff made us feel like we were just hanging with friends who took good care of us. Can't recommend this place highly enough. I've been to several areas of Zanzibar and this is my favorite thus far, such a hidden gem.”
