I love meeting new people, travelling, reading, being out in nature walking and foraging :)
Great bed. Relaxed helpful hosts. Couple of miles to town. The house actually not 3 hillhouse but is 1 house and 1 church lower down the hill. It has a5 on the door. So airbnb should give better instructions on finding it.
Very cosy and comfortable! Great to have a feel of staying at a typical Edinburgh house! Drinks and snacks were also provided!
Had a really, really lovely stay! Found the place easily and the room was on the bottom floor so felt nice and private.
It is a very small room but nice and cosy, the bed was SO comfy. Farrah wasn't there when I arrived but her partner greeted me and we had a few chances to chat. He informed me of the local area and that it is a reasonably safe area to walk.
The walk into the centre of the city is alright, you pass a shopping centre which was really handy. Farrah made an effort to make sure she meet me on the day that I left which was really lovely.
Also I am not a huge fan of cats but theirs was no bother and no allergies.
Clean and basic room. Warm welcome. Tea/coffee provided but no milk. Could benefit by a bedside (website hidden) would have been great for the evenings. Bathroom on next level, with shower. Bed is exceptionally comfortable. Excellently situated for bus stops which take you to and from Edinburgh in about 10-15 mins. Safe area on a busy road but room situated at back of house so noise is not a problem. Would recommend.
Great location for getting to central Edinburgh, very convenient for bus straight to town. Host was friendly, accommodation nice and clean.
Farrah was a really friendly and accommodating host and the room was very comfortable and exactly as pictured.
It was only a fleeting visit to Edinburgh, so I didn't spend much time at the house, but I would definitely stay again and recommend it to other travellers.
The only slight downside was the location, which is not very central, but as I had my bike with me I was able to get into the centre of town in about 15-20 minutes and the area is also well connected by bus.
Our stay with Farrah was great. She was very welcoming and even had tea, biscuits and coffe and tea waiting for us in our room. She offered us alot of advice about Edinburg during our stay and gave us great recommendations. Her apartment was simple and clean and the bus stopped 2 mins outside her place and took about 15 minutes to get to the city centre. She was very stand offish...felt like we had the whole apartment to ourself.Overall, great choice!
Our stay with Farrah was pleasant. She is very hands-off (I only saw her the day she gave me the keys), which is much better than the alternative. Just to echo some of the other reviews, lights are not left on after dark, so have a phone on you to light your way up to your bedroom! Other than that, it's everything you'd expect or need: clean room, safe area, hot shower, with some snacks and tea in your room as a perk. Overall an enjoyable first experience using airbnb. If I go back to Edinburgh, I will hopefully be staying with Farrah again. Cheers!
Farrah & Mo were great hosts! A nice private room in a quiet part of town, with wifi & tea & coffee facilities. They even turned on the heaters for us when it got too cold - We Western Australians aren't too good in cold weather! Would definitely recommend to others :)
Farrah is a very nice person, polite and friendly, she hosted me for dinner on Christmas day, and I could see that see is very welcoming. She is also a very active person, involved in different proyects and with a lot of ideas to improve the life in her commuity. And she likes very much babys, specially ours ;)
Farrah is a wonderful friend, she is kind, considerate and a great host.
