Treehouse holiday rentals in Uva Province

So far our most beautiful and cosiest accomodation in Sri Lanka. The elevated palm-leaf coverd huts located in a lovely garden with palm trees, pepper, different kinds of fruit and flowers at the edge of the lake is outstanding. The waterbuffalos are grazing in the water right next to the bungalow! We also were very happy with the safari organised by the host. Our driver Bindu always found a way to avoid the big crowd and had a unique sense for beeing at the right place on the right time without any rushing (as it seems to be common in Yala NP). Thanks to him we were able to see anything the park has to offer almost on our own.

We’ve just left the treehouse chalet with the happiest of memories. The food was delicious (they fed our coeliac daughter incredibly well), the treehouse was gorgeous with views that are out of this world. The service and care was incredible. Aruns knowledge and passion for nature is amazing - he oozes love for what he is doing and passed it on to all of us. We swam in waterfalls, walked to the local village, saw the stars …. We were there for 4 nights - it went far too quickly. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in nature, calm surroundings to add this to their itinerary. You won’t regret it!

We had an incredible experience in this accommodation. Incredible welcome from the family running the place, great breakfast/lunch/dinner at reasonable prices, really quirky yet comfortable experience of staying in the tree house. Lots of birds and squirrels around, peacuful atmosphere and nature all around. Minor point: the room is a bit stuffy, but it didn't prevent us from having an amazing time! Would recommend this to anyone going to Udawalawe!

The staff were so welcoming on our arrival and continued to be attentive and helpful throughout our stay, the view from our treehouse was breathtaking and awe inspiring in its beauty. The team can’t do enough for you during your stay, even helping you find the perfect spot to sit in the river rapids for a natural jacuzzi and massage….the highlight of our holiday. The quality and care in preparing the meals bordered on an art form, we’re not ones to take photos of our food….but here we took pictures of every meal…truly outstanding! If we have any criticism there is non related to the wonderful staff, however the owners should certainly look at an injection of money to update some tired features in the bathrooms, furniture and soft furnishings, that this wonderful place deserves. We love this place and we love the team that work so hard here. Thank you to you all for making our stay incredible

A fantastic stay at Lasitha’s Tree House. We loved our 2 day stay and wished we could have stayed longer. We were picked up by Dinith from Ella train which is a 5 minute Tuk-Tuk ride away. We were welcomed with a fruit cocktail and the staff carried our luggage to our tree house accommodation. The Tree House was huge and could have easily fit a family of 5 or 2 couples and 2 children as 2 double beds. There was a fantastic pebble/stone built bathroom which was roomy and totally unique. Waking up, watching monkeys swinging from the trees and literally being less than 10 metres away on our balcony was awesome and very exciting. The breakfasts were fantastic and plentiful. We had evening meals on both nights too and the home cooked food was delicious and had a great variety. One day we hope to return and would recommend

We loved our stay at hornbill river camp. the location is beautiful and the host was super kind and helpful. the host cooked for us and it was so delicious :)

We absolutely loved our stay. It felt so peaceful falling asleep listening to nature and then eating a yummy breakfast with the monkeys in the morning (great breakfast thank you!) It's only a ten minute walk to the main street where there are plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and tuk tuks to get around. Communication was great - set up a group chat which was very responsive and helpful. Would 100% recommend the treehouse if staying in Ella.
