Holiday rentals with lake access in Van Buren County

Caitlin’s home is beautiful and the view is breathtaking! The pictures are very accurate but it’s way prettier in person. A must see! The area is so peaceful and the locals are very friendly. Just overall one of the best places we have ever stayed. We will 100% stay again. ❤️

The views stunning, enjoyed the sunsets. Weather was perfect to enjoy the patio and a little bird watching( abundance of woodpeckers and spotted a couple of eagles). The house had everything we needed. The kitchen well equipped as we cooked nightly. We also enjoyed the town of Smithville which has nice boutiques, antiques and coffe shop. Nice tranquil property.

Such a beautiful, peaceful place to enjoy the lake views & sound of the neighborhood geese!! Wonderful place to spend time with family!!

If you are looking for beautiful views in a peaceful area, this cabin is your spot! We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend this house to everyone. We felt very much at home as it had everything we needed during our stay. The swim spa was an added bonus but the hot tub was our favorite overlooking the lake. Jessica was a responsive and wonderful host! Can’t wait to go back when it’s warmer so we can float in the lake.

There are so many things to say about our week at Jordan and Jenn’s! - clean - perfect location (we hike MANY miles within an hr of the cottage. Also many waterfalls) - awesome hosts who answered all of our questions and when we had an AC issue they got someone out there asap to fix it - SO many thoughtfully stocked items. From toys for the kids to kitchen items. Plenty of linens and towels. - hot tub was amazing - view was absolutely spectacular - we had 2 big families stay with plenty of space A perfect place to unwind after a long day. We had such an awesome week and made so many great memories. We are so happy they shared their special place with us and we felt completely at home. We felt totally safe in the quiet area with views all over the place. I can confidently say it was our favorite Airbnb we have ever stayed in.

Great place! Very clean. I would definitely consider staying again if we vacation in the same area. We appreciated having two common rooms for our extended family to stay together, nice bedrooms and extra sleeping spaces in basement common room, and good # of bathrooms. The deck was a nice place to sit/rock and enjoy the peaceful winter days (when warm enough). Basement (2 bedrooms and baths + a common space) was cold but mostly taken care of by quality space heaters. We liked being able to walk to the small marina and through the campground loops. Extremely quiet area during our winter holiday visit. I imagine there is more action in the summer (lake) months. Thanks for a quality stay!

Bruce and Michelle were very gracious hosts. My husband and I booked for an Anniversary getaway. Upon arrival we were met with the cutest little cabin. Heart shaped brownies and the peaceful sounds of nature. There were so many beautiful little touches in the cabin including an angel pinned to the curtain to watch over you while you sleep. Due to an unexpected situation we had to check out early. But would highly recommend this cottage for a couples only retreat.

We decided to stay here last minute and it was very peaceful and quiet. Jo Lynn was very nice and responded quickly with concerns we had. Everything was super clean and very well written instructions to follow to get to the cabin. We loved staying here and definitely will be back!

Beautiful and peaceful stay on a private lake, the paddle boat was an awesome addition. House was well stocked with everything you'd need, decent internet connection given the location. Would highly recommend!

This cottage is the perfect “getaway” cottage! So cozy and peaceful, especially the front porch in the morning with coffee and the evenings with a cocktail . Very convenient to Smithville but even more so to the marina. My favorite thing (among others) was the well equipped kitchen! Perfect for those who like to cook! Loved all the parking for cars and our boat. Finally, it was truly a pleasure working out details etc with Nicole. She’s the best and left no stone unturned to insure our stay was fabulous. We highly recommend this cottage and Nicole and look forward to renting again one day!

A hidden gem, we enjoyed unwinding on the porch, feeling wind on our faces and listening to the music of the woods. It was exactly what we needed.

Loved every minute of our getaway to Sparta. The place had a wonderful “at home” feel. Would love to book here again next time we come back to Sparta. Advija was a wonderful host!

This was our second stay at Lakewood Cottage. The lake house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. We spent our mornings drinking coffee on the dock and enjoying the beautiful lake view. It was the perfect, relaxing weekend that we needed. Allison and Chad are great hosts and we’re so glad they share their beautiful lake house.
