PLEASE NOTE: Due to local ordinances, this is a 30-day or longer rental in my home, for a great summer vacation or temporary business assignment. You’ll love my place because it is a step back into 1895, but upgraded with modern amenities! You can walk or bike to the beach, the Ventura County Fairgrounds & downtown Ventura's restaurants, boutiques, Farmer's Market and theaters. Two blocks to the Ventura River bike trail which goes down to the pier/boardwalk and the Ojai bike/horse trails.
“Beautiful home in a very convenient location, walking distance to Charming downtown Ventura as well as the beach. Nancy has done a terrific job restoring this beautiful Victorian. The room is very spacious with a nice size walk-in closet and even a little mini bar setup with some snacks, a refrigerator and microwave. She even puts out some fresh fruit, coffee and danish in the morning. I had a lot of privacy which I really appreciated but if I had any questions I knew that Nancy was nearby. The neighborhood is a little bit iffy, as Nancy mentions in her listing, but at no time did I feel unsafe. On Saturday night I even walked into town and back around midnight and was never uncomfortable. I highly recommend Nancy's home and would happily stay here again myself in the future.”
This adorable cottage is right across from the footbridge to the beach/pier and is walking distance to downtown Ventura! It is nestled behind a historic Victorian home built in 1886 by the Captain Robert Sudden! Guests have their own private front porch, kitchen, bathroom, living space etc. There is also a large yard with a hammock for relaxing! Enjoy complimentary coffee, waters, and beach gear!
“Close to the beach, fun and stylish house. PLUS most amazing Mexican restaurant right down the driveway - perfect for to-go margaritas, chicken salads, and an incredible fruit bowl! Great hospitality and cute, clean place. Love the hosts. You are on a lot with another house, so you'll see other people around! But it feels like a little oasis with the beach about a 5 min walk over a footbridge. Loved it!”
our guest unit is great for couples or surfers who want to be close to downtown ventura and the fairgrounds and c st. and ventura point
“If I could give Tim and Barb a 10-star review, I would! Initially, I overbooked my stay — I meant to book from Friday to Sunday and I accidentally booked until Monday. I messaged Tim not expecting him to adjust the three-night minimum rules for me but he graciously accommodated me and I was able to stay for the weekend without having to pay any additional fees. I’m originally from Oxnard so my boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stay since we couldn’t stay with family. Tim and Barb’s place is a peaceful oasis around the corner from Main Street Ventura and down the street from the beach. We enjoyed being able to walk to nearby liquor stores for snacks and libations, Johnny’s Mexican Food (highly recommend the Chile Colorado burrito) and the dozens of restaurants and shops on Main Street. Tim and Barb greeted us upon arrival and made sure that we had everything we needed before we turned in for the night. They are such beautiful souls and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them, learning more about their property (that they renovated themselves!) and hearing all of their adventurous stories. If you’re looking for a place that is filled with positivity, love and light, you should definitely book this AirBNB! The duplex was very neat, clean and tidy with a welcoming beach vibe. The BED AND THE COUCH IN THE LIVING ROOL ARE AMAZING! The best sleep I’ve gotten in an AirBNB to date. They even provided a small AC unit (not needed if you keep the windows and doors open). I will definitely be booking again!”
