Holiday rentals in Vestmannaeyjabær

This house is gorgeous with beautiful views and beautiful and comfortable accommodations. Our host, Karen, was so thoughtful and friendly, with great recommendations for activities on the island. Our family of seven had the best time staying here at their home, and a great time touring the island for volcanoes and puffins. Everyone in the family agreed that we needed to return here!

The apartment is really really nice. it seems like it also doubles as a place where Daniel practices as a chiropractor, which means there are extra fancy bits in the entry. The place is literally two blocks from where you get off the ferry, but then again the entire commercial area of the island is all a short walk from the ferry. I would strongly recommend the two bedroom apartment, which we used for an adult couple plus a teenager. There are two minor caveats I should mention. The apartment is on the ground level, so while there are big plate glass windows along one side, you will need to pull down the blinds unless you are an exhibitionist. The apartment had virtually no street noise though, so no worries there. Also, if you are fragrance sensitive, you should ask Daniel to ask his cleaning crew to lay off the strong artificial fragrance sticks, the smell of which nearly knocked us over the first day. Insofar as Daniel is very communicative, I am sure he will oblige. Enjoy!

Jóhanna's apartment was very comfortable, spacious, stylish, and all the amenities of home. You are right in the center of Heimey with plenty to do and eat, parking is easy, there's 2 groceries and a bakery within a 1 minute walk. We loved exploring the island, it's breathtaking in any spot you go. Jóhanna is a great host and communication was quick and friendly. 10/10

Due to a broken water pipe, we were unable to stay at the original booking, but Kari was extremely proactive and contacted us immediately with alternative accommodations that were also great. Kari provided a crib for our youngest, made sure we were taken care of, and was extremely responsive, which we appreciated. Would recommend staying at Kari's listings!

Large, well decorated and comfortable place to stay. I loved that they extend use of their yard spaces to guests. Really helpful with kids, mine especially enjoyed the trampoline. What a treat to stay here!

This place was awesome! My kids especially loved the pool table and hot tub! Great communication and exactly what we expected.

When we booked the place we were one of the first customers and there were no feedback yet available at airbnb. First of all Jon has been a good, responsive and very friendly host, who was replying on all our requests prior to arrival. It was easy to find the place, and apartment was very better than we were imagining ourselves. We were feeling like at home, and really enjoyed the place. Thank you Jon!
