River Cottage Near Loch Lomond

River Cottage is a detached riverside property located in the quiet village of Croftamie on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This charming cottage has been finished to a high standard and enjoys lovely views over rolling fields. The spacious decking area overlooks the river "Catter Burn" and is an ideal vantage point for watching the abundance of local wildlife. As an added bonus, free riverside fishing is available from within the grounds of the cottage and there is direct access onto open fields. The open plan living space has two large sofas (one being a sofa bed, making it possible to accommodate up to four adults). Please note the supplement for the extra guests/sofa bed. The kitchen area is fully fitted with table and chairs for dining. We have excellent restaurants nearby - The Clachan in Drymen, is the oldest licensed pub in Scotland (1734) The Oak tree at Balmaha or The Old Mill in Killearn, all serve excellent food in a friendly atmosphere. We are delighted to welcome dogs as long as they bring their own beds, are not allowed on furniture and not left unattended. Worth noting that we have chickens roaming freely and the cottage is surrounded by fields which have livestock. We charge £10 per dog, per night and this can be paid at check in. Accommodation details Ground floor Property is all at ground floor level, has electric oil filled radiators and comprises: Lounge Area: With electric stove effect fire, satellite TV/DVD, WiFi, sofa bed (there is an additional charge of £50 for bedding for the sofa bed) and patio doors leading onto decking area. Dining Area: With table and 4 chairs Kitchen Area: With electric oven and electric hob, kettle, toaster, tassimo coffee maker, microwave and fridge/freezer. Bedroom: With king size bed, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers, hair dryer and view over farmland Shower Room: With shower cubicle, WC and wash basin. Facilities All power, bed linen, towels and bathrobes included. Cot and high chair available on request. Miscellaneous Small enclosed garden, large decking area with outdoor seating and BBQ (coals not supplied), with views over river. River access (youngsters take care!) and free fishing from river bank. Access to open farmland along river. Wireless broadband connection. Secure storage for bicycles and fishing equipment etc. Shared laundry facilities available on request. Off road parking for 2 cars.

Fantastic average size first floor flat with a loft conversion bedroom & bathroom. Two flights of stairs with own door entrance, 18 steps in total. Garden access. Long narrow hall on entry with downstairs WC. Average size high ceiling living room & dining area with a galley kitchen off the dining area. One double bedroom with a double bed. Double glazing throughout, gas central heating. An ideal place to eat & rest after exploring the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.
