Beachfront escape

Located in a quiet rural setting along side the Kahurangi National Park, with beach access just over the road this is a great spot to base yourself for Golden Bay's adventures or relax with a book for a picnic on the beach. Its a short walk to the café and shops and all sorts of options around for activities including: kayaking, beach biking, a variety of hikes, fishing, swimming, caving and rock climbing. This unit is on the ground floor of our home. We live upstairs with our 2 children.

Modern architectural kiwi bach nestled on the edge of a tidal lagoon between Ligar Bay and Tata Beach. The Bach is a compact 55sqm with a large sheltered and covered deck with all day sun. A master bedroom links on to a compact lounge & ensuite bathroom, dining & kitchen area from either side all with full views of the water & lagoon. There is a seperate sleeping pod with a Queen size bed 2 metres from main dwelling for an extra 2 guests. Amazing second Hot outdoor shower under the trees.

This quiet cottage is nestled amongst mature native trees in iconic Totara Avenue, 10 mins from Collingwood, and overlooking a tidal estuary and bush-clad hills, with the beach just over the road. The spacious open plan kitchen, dining, living area is private and sunny. The main bedroom has a queen bed, while the second bedroom has a queen and two singles in a bunk. Kōtuku has a wooden deck along two sides, where you can sit and enjoy the view, or you can watch the tides from a private jetty.

'Albert' the Bedford Truck spent his early days working on a potatoe farm in Timaru, middle life in Bainham on Earnest Pomeroy's dairy farm as a hay truck and moved to Weka workshop in Kaituna in 2002 and most recently Onekaka.

This well crafted stone cottage is close to beautiful Golden Bay bush walks, old historic gold workings, lonely beaches, the Mussel Inn, swimming holes and much more. A striking building nestled in a tranquil and private setting, makes for a relaxing stay that would suit couples and solo adventurers alike. Literally on Kahurangi National Park's doorstep! The host's partner has developed an extensive network of tracks , some easy walks and some more challenging, with great views of the bay.

Modern 3 bedroom house located only 100m from the beautiful Ligar Bay beach. The house sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. The house is perfect for your summer or winter getaway. We do not allow pets. Bed linen provided as well as one bath towel per person. Please bring your own beach towels. Just a heads up that we provide hand soap for guest use, but for reasons of hygiene and personal preference please bring your own body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

Peaceful, if you want a quiet nights sleep in a self contained cottage, this is it! Romantic. Panoramic sea views in a rural garden setting & only 5 minutes from Takaka's restaurants. Under floor bathroom heating, heat pump & air con. Wonderful birdlife and awesome starlight. Kitchen with dishwasher, air fryer and gas cooktop. Carport, private outdoor seating, loads of books and games. Smart TV. Excellent wifi, good enough for working.

Adjacent to our families coastal dairy farm, just 200m from a safe and sandy swimming beach on the western side of Golden Bay. A short drive to Collingwood, or Wharariki Beach, or walk to the Old School Cafe and Restaurant. Overlooking a creek. Split Apple Beaches & Bays Marahau

Cath and Al are kiwi locals having been born and brought up in this area and lived here all our lives. We are happy to give guests advice on where to visit and what to see. Our accommodation is located in a quiet peaceful location with bush and native birdsong on a ridge. There are breathtaking views across Sandy Bay, Marahau and Abel Tasman National Park from the apartment.
