Our beachfront studio is equipped with a queen size bed, private bath, glass table with 2 chairs, mini fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. The white powder beach just outside your sliding glass door stretches for miles in both directions, secluded and gorgeous. Sip your morning coffee with your toes in the sand. Dip into the turquoise sea before starting your day. Perfect. This is life on a Caribbean Island before big resorts. A true treasure!
“The beach is to die for. We had an amazing time just chilling on the quiet beach. We were there the week between Christmas and New Year’s and despite being high season, we saw probably a total of twenty people on the entire five mile stretch of private beach. The unit is great. The owners have been extremely thoughtful down to every detail, including allergy-friendly inner cases on the pillows to making sure that people have a deck of playing cards to keep them entertained. North Caicos is a legit desert island so it is worth keeping that in mind when it comes to water, power, and internet. The room provides a five gallon drum of safe and filtered water and it is promptly replaced upon asking. The internet was strong for the first few days, but then gave out, but that was ok with us and as is island life. I mention this only for people who might need to work while visiting. We had one power outage (it was during the day and only for a few hours) and it was quickly resolved. As for food, I highly recommend packing non-perishable foods, like oatmeal and microwavable rice and then supplementing it with food from the IGA on Provo. For a taxi on Provo (airport to ferry and back), Spring Taxi was great and on North Caicos, Mack the taxi driver was also great. On the whole, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get away from it all and spend some time on the beach. It was nice to not be bogged down with the annoyances of a resort (music playing, crowds), but you compensate for that by having to be very independent. Just something to keep in mind if you are not an adventurous traveler. Regine was very helpful and always made us feel well taken care of. The Silver Palm restaurant next door was great and they went above and beyond to meet dietary restrictions, in case you have any.”
Flamingo’s Nest is the perfect home for a family vacation or couple’s getaway on North Caicos. North Caicos is a great place to escape the busyness of Providenciales! The ideal place to relax undisturbed and experience the TCI. Flamingo's Nest has 2 bedrooms with queen size beds (a roll-away bed is available upon request). You'll be close to Whitby Beach, Sandy Point dock, local restaurants, convenience stores. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the tranquility, the outdoors space.
“This is such a great place! Holly & Hope were so helpful from start to finish. Reaching out beforehand asking if they could be helpful with planning, bookings, etc. Very accommodating regarding check-in/check-out. The fridge had bagels, eggs and fruits welcoming us. The house is literally a one minute walk from the beach down a little path. You don't have an unobstructed view of the beach from the porch but almost. When you get down to the beach, it is amazing: you are completely alone and the view in either direction is so beautiful. The house is equipped with sun chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, etc so you are all set for a good time on the beach. I would recommend walking to the next beach over to the North, which is also heavenly beautiful. Going south for a few minutes, there is a beach bar serving food. Beds are very comfortable, bathroom nice and sparkling clean, kitchen well equipped for cooking yourself if you want to, very good wifi. We didn't miss anything at all. We explored both North and Middle Caicos. A car is a must and driving is super easy, even for us not used to driving on the left. Hardly any cars around. Walking out to the island at Bambarra Beach was great, we didn't have water shoes so didn't go all the way there (and had minor cuts from stepping on a rock on the way). We also had a five year old in tow, it worked ok but he needed a floating device for part of it. Good to check the tide, I didn't know and we were lucky not to experience high tide. Stopping at Mudjin is another highlight, both for food (be prepared for waiting time, service somewhat inconsistent but food is lovely) and to have fun in the natural wave pool caused by two opposite shore breaks. We had to come back a second day because the kids had so much fun with it. Be prepared to have a quiet vacation, this was serene, we saw very few people everywhere we went.”
My place is close to restaurants and dining & beach. My place is good for couples and families (with kids).
“Alith was a great host. Very responsive. We arrived earlier than expected and she was able to accommodate us. The kids loved having the bikes and we were able to bike to Barracuda beach bar (1 mile) and Horsestable beach with no problems. Alith was very helpful with beach chairs and an umbrella, which really added to our time on the beach. The place is in a nice location. There is a washer and a line to hang the laundry out which is a huge plus. Also the tv had amazon video hooked up, which was a nice option in the evenings. We brought a lot of food from home and made most meals at the place. It was well equipped for our meals. We felt very safe and loved the island. Alith also helped arrange a rental car for us at a very fair price. I would recommend a car the whole time you are at the island. There is so much to see and a car helps to make everything accessible. On our adventures we spotted flamingos, and found starfish and sand dollars. Check out Pumpkin Bluff near Three Marys Key. We loved the island and will be back for a visit at Aliths place. There is a smoke detector.”
