“Although we didn’t get to meet Anna, her very thoughtful gift of a freshly baked cake and eggs from the hens was a lovely touch and set the tone for a wonderful 3 night stay. The photos of Little Willows Loft are great but it is even better in real life. It was clean, very comfortable and peaceful with lovely views from all aspects. We enjoyed our days exploring and walking around Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, Walberswick, Dunwich and Southwold so it is perfectly situated and the map and guides were useful. We had a great takeaway from the Indian restaurant in the village as well as a delicious meal in The Ufford Crown. Just wish we were staying longer. We will be booking again!”
Contemporary 2 bedroom 2 ensuite cottage set within the historic setting of Letheringham Watermill - an idyllic waterside Suffolk hideaway The property is set away from our main house in a setting of three cottages all linked by an outside decked area which is appealing for watching the world go by
“A wonderful place in a wonderful setting. We stayed in the Old Stables which was immaculate and one of the best equipped self catering places we have been to. Everything is a very high standard and specification. The decor and furnishing are lovely with quirky humorous touches, and the 'doggy theme' is evident throughout, which kept us amused. We were here without a dog, but the resident pooches were extremely well behaved, and we adored the Burmese cat, Eel. A pint to note, most of the guests did have dogs ( all well behaved) so maybe not for you if you don't like dogs! The grounds are lovely to wander in , and the top garden a delight to sit in and admire all the wonderful blooms. All in all you can't help but relax and feel at one with nature.”
The Old Post Office was built around the turn of the 20th Century to serve the then bustling community of Wickham Market. Recently updated to provide you with gorgeous boutique style accommodation, it retains its charming character boasting an Art Deco working open fire, sumptuous bed with crisp white linen, well equipped kitchen and a welcome pack of locally produced breakfast produce. Just of Wickham's village square, shops, cafes and restaurants are a short walk away.
“The Old Post Office offers beautiful, cosy and welcoming accomodation. I stayed on my own to visit family in the area, but it would also be lovely for couples. There's something really nice about the atmosphere (probably all of those Post Office visitors over the years) and everything from the decor to the information pack (including how to light the open fire if you don't know your hearth from your ash pan) is spot on and thoughtful. The place is bigger than I expected, incredibly comfortable and full of character and the welcome pack inc. bubbles a lovely treat. The only potential, small, downside if you're reliant on having your car nearby is there isn't any parking on the property itself, and you need to park a little way away after you've unloaded the car! Don't forget to explore the village while you're there, and check out Snape, Woodbridge, Framlingham and Felixstowe (don't miss Old Felixstowe and Felixstowe Ferry too)! This is my new favourite Wickham Market place to stay, and I will return.”
