Characterful, peaceful and clean accommodation set in a large garden with views of the Purbeck hills. Just 150 m from the historical Harmans Cross steam railway station and newly equipped children's play area. Perfect for families, cyclists and walkers. Purbeck has two ridges. We are situated in the valley between them. The inner ridge gives panoramic views of Poole Harbour, Corfe Castle and Swanage Bay while the outer ridge boasts breathtaking views of the Jurassic Coast.
“A lovely place to stay. Very quiet, but close to great local beauty spots if you fancy getting your boots on, or on a bike. The place itself is a very nice, cozy room. Big enough for a family if you’re not spending too much time in there. All the appliances were fully functional (the kettle got plenty of use!), and the shower was a treat! Not to mention their lovely garden, so nice to sit out in on a sunny evening I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking to spend time in this part of the country.”
The Garden Room is perfect for walkers as we near the South West Coast Path and ideal for those wanting to get back to nature and unwind as we are off the beaten track. We are close to Corfe Castle and other attractions in the Isle of Purbeck.
“Ian and Steve's Garden Room is a perfect place to stay to explore some of the SW Coast Path, enjoy the fantastic local pubs or just relax with a book in the beautiful garden - we could have stayed on site all weekend. The room was spotlessly clean, really comfortable and had everything we needed - couldn't have been a better place to get away to. They responded really quickly to all our questions before the stay and did a great job reassuring us we'd be safe and welcome despite the circumstances. Very much recommended!”
Snuggle up in a comfy bed near a warm wood stove in a one-room, metal-clad cottage. Open French doors in the morning for a view past a low stone wall to the sea, and plan a day exploring nearby cliffs and coastline. Return in time for an outdoor BBQ.
“My husband and I had two lovely nights in the shepherds hut. The hut has a pretty garden in front which gives some privacy and a great space to enjoy a drink or meal outside. The hut itself is well laid out and comfortable, with everything we needed. The location is spectacular and we went for some stunning coastal walks straight from the hut. Would definitely recommend.”
