Sulára is an open-concept loft, where the interior connects with the exterior. It's located 60 metres from the busy main street and 2 km (5 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot) from the centre of La Fortuna. The climate is tropical and there's a farm next to the accommodation, so you might occasionally see livestock, birds, butterflies and insects, among other species that pose no danger to guests. The gym is located in the village of La Fortuna, a 5-minute drive from the accommodation.

Oct 25: We have just completed a full remodel of this lovely house. It now has two bedrooms, full bath, kitchen, deck, and laundry room all on one level and with wide doors to make it wheelchair friendly. My mother built this as her retirement house. She wanted a cozy, comfortable, house with a beautiful view. Wood floors, fireplace with firewood provided for the chilly Monteverde nights, beautiful windows so that you are looking down on the tops of the trees in the river gorge.
