Nisbet's Tower

A unique historic tower with with a cosy modern interior , this is the ideal location for a private break away in a tower all to yourselves! Nisbet’s Tower sleeps 2 , It has one bedroom with double bed, and can accommodate up to 2 young children. If you are bringing your children, they will enjoy the play park that is near the tower, the beach, amusement arcade, bowling alley and our own smugglers museum (access from the harbour side under Gunsgreen House April-Oct). The Tower also has a Sofa Bed in the living room which can accommodate a further 2 adults or older children. Please let us know if your require this option. There is an additional charge of £50 for the Sofa Bed. ** The Tower consists of a double bedroom and shower room on the ground floor, with stairs up to an open-plan living, dining and kitchen are on the first floor. It benefits from a lovely outdoor area with spectacular views across Eyemouth harbour and out to sea. Nisbet's Tower has Wi-Fi and SMART TV's Well behaved dogs are welcome (maximum 2) a charge of £15 per dog per visit is charged. ** ** Please contact the office at Gunsgreen House, Eyemouth for payment of additional charges.

The Tower rooms are in a refurbished historic defensive tower (dating from 1574) providing a mini castle experience. Through a huge stone entrance, into an inner panelled entrance hall and through a private door up an ancient and narrow staircase to a tiny sitting area with shower room and kitchenette off. Unforgettable stay at the Victorian Water Tower

This historical victorian gem in the deepest Herts countryside has been kept a secret for the last century. Few people have seen it, let alone been inside it! Incredibly it’s only 32 minutes from King’s Cross on the Stevenage rainline and a quick 10/15 mins taxi journey. Ideal for quick getaways! However please note, we are not a venue for parties or events that extend beyond the 8 paying guests. The Tower is not suitable for children under the age of 12 or anyone with mobility issues.

The Tower stands on the escarpment 400 feet above Chatsworth House, on the edge of Stand Wood. There are panoramic views over Capability Brown's magnificent Park. This unique and fascinating building was completed c.1582 for Bess of Hardwick, ancestress of the Dukes of Devonshire, to designs by the famous Elizabethan architect Robert Smythson. Please note that while this cottage is child friendly, we recommend older children only due to the spiral staircase.
