The Rumster Hut

Get away from it all when you stay in our cosy shepherds hut. Set 2 miles from the NC500 route near the village of Lybster in a rural spot. Get ready for country views and big dark skies at night. An ideal spot to capture the aurora borealis or see the wild deer roaming the surrounding fields. Our cosy cabin is capable of sleeping up to 2 adults and 1 child. The cabin has an induction hob for cooking, and comes with its own seperate bathroom facility next door plus an outside firepit area.

In the heart of the Scottish Highlands and directly on the NC500 route, is Borlum House, a lovingly restored 1700’s farm house in the beautiful little village of Reay. This family retreat is warm and cosy, with log burners, 2 lounges, 5 bedrooms - 3 x super king beds and 2 doubles with Hypnos mattresses and a large farmhouse style kitchen, fully equipped with all the modern necessities. Located in the heart of the North Coast 500. (NC500) makes it an ideal accommodation for exploring the Scottish Highlands for a short or long stay. The Armadilla Pod comfortably sleeps two guests which can convert from 2 twin/ 1 double bed. Cairn Pod is equipped to a high standard with private parking and luxury home comforts.

A fantastic base to explore the North of Scotland, whether you are touring the NC500, relaxing in the quiet wilderness of Caithness, doing a spot of fishing, shooting, walking, cycling... the choices are endless like the views!
