The Byre is an old stone built cattle shed which is converted to an accommodation block with fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms which sleep five, bathroom and living room. It has its own private parking and is well of the main Road with panoramic views of County Antrim .
“Really great place that's actually a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures on Airbnb. The bed was comfy and the shower has a feature that shows the temperature. Remember to close the door when cooking breakfast, as I forgot. Few dogs came in looking for bacon”
This is a large comfortable room with contemporary ensuite facilities
“There aren't enough stars to give for this place... We initially planned to stay here just for one night but ended up staying for 3 (lucky enough to have it available). Alan and Hillary are one of the best hosts we've come across... their kids just as amazing... All of them made us feel at home and treated us just like their family. Hillary is a good cook as well. It was very comforting, especially during the crisis going on around in the UK during our travel. Neelam and I can't thank them enough for their warm hospitality. They are awesome people...”
My place is close to the North Coast which is renowned for its beauty and golf facilities, Game of Thrones locations, Giant's Causeway, beaches, fishing and walking. It is located approx. 40 minutes from Belfast International airport and Derry. You’ll love my place because of the peaceful surroundings and its central location. The Brown Trout Inn is close by which has golf facilities and a restaurant. Ireland's oldest thatched pub with traditional music, The Crosskeys Inn, is close by.
“I feel cheated that we didn't have more time to spend at Rozzy's because I would have loved to have been there for a week. The house is not perfect--it's a house on a farm, after all. But if you have a love of history, any slight aesthetic gaps are well-overcome by the gorgeous bones of the place and the maps and original, antique art on the walls. The biggest draw, however, is Rozzy herself. She is warm, easy to talk to (would have spent days in her dining room over a pot of tea had we not had other obligations), and very accommodating. Her hospitality was wonderful, and her attention to our son--who found lots of toys available for him to play with--was so appreciated. She took our 4 year old out to feed the cows and sheep and then sent us pics she had taken. He did NOT want to leave either. (Parents, if you've never booked on a farm, do it...and choose this one). Breakfast was simple, but frankly, just the home-baked bread is enough of a draw. We are planning another trip to N. Ireland because we missed some sights, and will be staying with Rozzy again! Thanks, Rozzy and Hermione!”
