Ahmed place is a magical place, part of a Nubian Village, central to everything and away from all the commercial noise and hassles. Ahmed was always providing information willingly, and was very helpful making sure that I got to the places without getting lost, at times taking me to the places himself. He accommodated the house boat to my convenience, not only for side seeings but also as part of the arrangement he made for me to be at the airport at 3 am, or catching the tour for Abu Simbel at 4 am. His hospitality is part of the Nubian character impossible to forget!

Wow this place is amazing. It looks even better than the pictures and you really are looking right at the temple of Philae from your room or anywhere on the small island as the Philae island is about a two minute boat ride away. Everything about our stay was chill and easy. Youssef was an amazing manager and kept everything running smoothly - boat rides to the port, kayak rental, laundry services. All of the people we encountered from the restaurant staff to the laundry people to the boat drivers were lovely and helpful. The food was delicious. The room was spotless and clean. The swimming beach was nice and private. If we could have stayed a month, we would have. Really really can’t recommend this place enough. What an oasis escape from busy life.

Great stay, the view of the Nile River is just outside the balcony door, super beautiful, the butler is very nice, the breakfast is also very generous, I really want to have the chance to stay here for a month

Best place ever found in egypt, I would go again, the sight is worthless. It’s out side the downtown and that’s perfect, no one is hassling you and the prices for food and activities seem pretty fair.

My stay at Nubian Palace was truly unforgettable. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, with a welcoming charm that made us feel right at home. The views of the village and the Nile were stunning, offering a serene and picturesque backdrop. The staff treated us like family, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The food was absolutely delicious—easily one of our favorites in the village. I highly recommend this gem for anyone visiting the area!

We had a wonderful stay. Tamer was very responsive and helpful. The views are breathtaking and the houseboat is beautiful and spacious, even when sharing with guests in up to 3 other rooms. Caretaker Mahmoud is very welcoming and accommodating and the other staff was kind and made a beautiful breakfast in the morning. Great value for money and would recommend to anyone staying in Elephantine Island. The free boat pick up from the mainland at check-in is a great additional service.

The room offered in Mango Guesthouse is really great, spacious, clean and cozy with a balcony overlooking the lush garden. They also offer the breakfast option for 150le which is really good and complete offered in the garden logo. It is a short distance from the port of the elephant island and therefore comfortable even if you have some luggage to carry.
