Cottage holiday rentals in Alboran Sea

We had a really great time in Madre Tierra. Rafa welcomed us and was really helpful for any request we had. The house is comfy, calm and with a great view, close to nice mountain paths. Totally recommended. Thanks again Rafa!

We hebben een fijne week gehad! Helaas zat het weer niet mee, en met zoveel regen is de weg naar het huis en ook terug naar het dorp wel écht een uitdaging. We hadden een medium-sized huurauto (Renault Captur) en daarmee kon het nét. Maar het is wel een beetje een drempel om erop uit te gaan zeg maar - ik zou om die reden hier niet nog eens boeken, maar een volgende keer kiezen voor iets wat net wat bewoondere wereld is. Dat doet absoluut niets af aan het fijne huisje waar alles goed voor elkaar is! Fijn dat de pellet-kachel er is :). En Luciano (de zoon die alles regelt) was lekker pro-actief met appjes met duidelijke routebeschrijving en instructies. Dankjewel daarvoor!

nous avons passé un moment fabuleux avec vue sur ronda ! a la campagne mais pas très loin de la ville!! un petit nid romantique ou nous avons pu passé un très agréable séjour avec toutes les commodités ! nous recommanderons ce lieu à ceux qui veulent visiter la région andalouse et ses magnifiques villages blancs.

Super schöne und ruhige Unterkunft. Der Pool und der Whirlpool waren toll und haben zur Entspannung beigetragen. Die Kommunikation war einwandfrei. Sehr sauber und alles da was man braucht. Küche komplett ausgestattet und eine Grundausstattung an Gewürzen, Ölen und Reinigungsmitteln war auch vorhanden.

Ha sido genial! El jacuzzi nos encantó a mi pareja y a mi, y la casa tenía todo lo necesario para pasar el fin de semana. Hay para tomar algún café, la casera te hablará para comprar leña y nosotros hemos gastado en dos días un carro y medio de leña (encendida todo el rato). La cocina tiene todo lo necesario y más, solo debes llevar la comida. La tele es smartTV pero no tienen wifi, puedes solucionarlo usando tu móvil como punto de acceso wifi (busca en internet cómo se hace si no sabes). Recomiendo encender la estufa y no apagarla en todo el finde, porque la casa es un poco fría y por la noche si se te apaga puedes pasar un poco de frío. Recomiendo llevar mantas, porque aunque la casa tiene a mi me faltaron un poco por la noche. El pueblo es genial, es una zona para ir visitando pueblos con el coche por carretera de montaña.

We stayed here for 4 weeks (family of 3) and it was the most wonderful holiday! So peaceful and quiet, well equipped house and a lovely pool. The beds are really comfortable and the aircon in the bedrooms was brilliant. Cómpeta is a beautiful town and worth a visit. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

The property is really tucked away and you have to pay attention to the directions otherwise you’ll struggle to find it, but this is typical in this region. Even though we arrived late (approximately 11.00pm) getting into the property was very easy. Each room has its own heating/cooling system so we got to the temperature we wanted very quickly. Overall, everyone (there were 8 of us) was happy with the accommodation inside. Outside is just perfect. Lovely pool and jacuzzi, 8 sun loungers, tables and chairs for all, and a great barbecue.

Had a lovely stay here. Villa was very clean and well presented. The scenery was beautiful and very peaceful. You will definitely need a car to get to the property as you have to drive down single track mountain roads to access it. Antonio looked after us well, we had a small problem one day and he came and sorted it after just a few hours. The kitchen was well equipped and the outdoor kitchen/bar area was amazing. There’s even a large paella pan which we put to good use. All the bedrooms have air conditioning which we needed as it was mid 40s during our stay! You are charged for the air con using a meter which we didn’t know until arrival but it was only €65 for the week and we had it on every night in every bedroom. The pool was very clean and Antonio came to clean it halfway through the week.

Tuvimos una experiencia increíble durante nuestra estancia. La atención de Maricarmen, la anfitriona, fue estupenda desde el primer momento: amable, atenta y con una comunicación excelente. La casa es perfecta, especialmente para quienes viajamos con perros. Nuestros peludos estuvieron felices con el espacio y la tranquilidad del entorno. Disfrutamos de huevos frescos por la mañana, un detalle que hizo aún más especial la estancia. La casa está equipada con todo lo indispensable para sentirse como en casa: cómoda, limpia y muy bien cuidada. La ubicación es ideal, lo suficientemente cerca de Almería para explorar la ciudad, descubrir rincones hermosos y visitar la playa, pero también con la calma y el encanto de una casa rural perfecta para leer, descansar y desconectar del ruido. No solo nos encantó, sino que además ya estamos deseando regresar. ¡Gracias por todo, Maricarmen!

Una casa-cabaña realmente bonita. Está todo cuidado al detalle con una amplísima parcela en la que te puedes encontrar de todo (hamaca, zona de lectura, un pequeño arroyo si os llueve ...). El interior es muy bonito y cuidado. Se ve que los anfitriones aman el lugar, os aseguro que os enamorará el lugar. Walter y Sabina son encantadores, ¡ya estamos buscando fechas para volver!

El sitio es precioso, aunque nos hizo buen tiempo lo pasamos genial con la chimenea y bbq, la verdad es que es un sitio bastante genial para pasar unos días en familia, muy recomendado! Además Alfonso nos dejó leña, naranjas y juegos. todo perfecto!

Amazing , magical place in an abandoned village. Peaceful environment, mountains and birds, and a super good restaurant around the corner. Nice bar in the street as well. Village vibes and a stunning cottage, we will be back for sure!

Susana und ihre Familie sind sehr gastfreundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir (2 Personen+Baby+Hund) waren fast 5 Wochen im Frühling bei ihnen und haben uns gleich willkommen gefühlt. Sie haben uns immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite gestanden (es gab Tipps für Wanderungen und wo man eine Werkstatt findet oder einen Arzt)…obwohl unser Spanisch schon sehr eingerostet ist. Die Wohnung sieht genau aus wie auf den Fotos und ist sehr persönlich eingerichtet. Es mangelt an nichts: von Kaffee über Salz und Öl bis hin zu Waschmittel ist alles vorhanden was man für einen längeren (oder kürzeren) Aufenthalt braucht. Sie ist ruhig gelegen in einem wunderschönen Garten mit Orangen- und Zitronenbäumen und man darf den Pool benutzen. Man parkt in einer kleinen Straße vor dem Haus. Mit dem Bus, der quasi vor der Haustür fährt, ist man in 25 Minuten in Granada (an der römischen Brücke). In Gojar findet man auch alles was man so braucht (Bäcker, Supermarkt, Apotheke) in fußläufiger Entfernung.

Un petit coin de rêve. Petite maison très agréable dans un fantastique environnement. De très belles balades proches ou un peu plus loin, 30 min, Grazalema. Une très belle découverte. Pia était très communicative et nous a fait nous sentir chez nous. Merci !

Un anfitrión de 10, y un lugar increíble, esperamos repetir, gracias Jesús por acercarnos Benalauria, dejar que te conozcamos y que nos recomendaras que hacer en los dias que estuvimos, repetiremos sin duda!!

¡Una experiencia inmejorable! La casa es simplemente espectacular, con un exterior de ensueño: amplios jardines muy bonitos, unas vistas espectacular, explanada para aparcar los coches y la piscina que invitan al descanso y la diversión. El espacio es enorme, perfecto para disfrutar con familia o amigos sin sentirse apretado. Las perritas que viven allí son adorables y muy bien educadas, no molestan en absoluto, al contrario, aportan un toque especial a la estancia. Queremos destacar la atención de María y José Antonio, que fueron unos anfitriones encantadores.Sin duda, recomendamos este lugar al cien por cien. ¡Está claro que nosotros volveremos!

Wunderschönes kleines Haus in den Bergen, dennoch nicht zu weit vom Meer entfernt, liebevoll eingerichtet, schöner Pool, totale Ruhe und Entspannung, authentisches Gefühl in Spanien auf dem Land zu sein. William ist ein sehr freundlicher und zuverlässiger Gastgeber.

Het is een heel gezellig huisje in een erg mooie omgeving. De ontvangst was erg warm en alles was superproper en goed voorzien (qua keukengerei, handdoeken, beddengoed, ...). Het huisje ligt een beetje afgelegen, maar met een mooi uitzicht en toch ook goed bereikbaar. Een aanrader!

Der Aufenthalt bei Nick & Julia entsprach genau unseren Erwartungen. Das Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen mit traumhafter Aussicht auf die „Berge“ und das Meer. Wenn man einen ruhigen und entspannten Ort sucht, findet man ihn bei den beiden. Die beiden sind auch super nett und haben uns einige Tipps gegeben und Gegenstände ausgeliehen, die wir vergessen hatten. Ich hätte mir keinen schöneren Urlaub vorstellen können - nur ein längeren! Great stay. Very well equipped, lovely views- just make sure you’re prepared to walk some hills in the area!

Die Finka ist sehr ruhig und abgelegen für ein sehr erholsamen Urlaub. Der Swiming Pool und die Veranda mit schönen lädt ein zum Verweilen. Der große Raum mit Wohnzimmer, Schlafzimmer und Küche ist sehr schön eingerichtet.Das Badezimmer ist aufrichtend ausgestattet. Die Unterkunft würde ich wieder buchen, um mich an einem ruhigen Ort zu erholen. Der Vermieter ist sehr hilfsbereit. Einfach ein schöner ruhiger Urlaub.

Peu de mots peuvent découvrir ce lieu. Au delà de l’hébergement, c’est une expérience. Nous avons adoré, nous reviendrons. Vous pouvez réserver les yeux fermés. Really lovely spot with amazing, large pool, that you can actually swim in, even with a group of eight, outdoor seating to relax and enjoy views. Our group appreciated all the separate bathrooms and cooking indoors and out and eating on the balcony. Host was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! Malaga, Marbella, and Granada are all about an hour to an hour and a half away. El Torcal ( remarkable rock formations on a hike) is only 1 hour. Walkable little market for beer/wine. We came by car, so not sure about public transportation. Do be aware that there is no dishwasher, but the lovely unique dishes are great. Occasionally you hear neighboring dogs , but the road is quiet. I especially recommend going to Museo Etnológico de Riogordo a little local museum about Andalusian culture/ historical life it is a gem off the tourist beaten path. Enjoy! Our Family loved our time:)
