Private suite holiday rentals in Alentejo

This was one of the loveliest places we have stayed on. The peace of the location with stunning views of the mountains and only the sound of the birds to disturb the peace. It is an animal lovers haven with Joanne's three friendly dogs coming on walks with us and welcoming us home in the evening. While the road is rough we managed fine with a cheap Fiat Panda hire car, just watch out for Google maps taken you on impossible roads. We took the train to Lisbon (an accessible station only 25 minutes drive away). We had a day at stunning beach but most of all we enjoyed relaxing at this beautiful place. Joanne was one of the best and most helpful hosts in every way. We hope to be back! Ruth and Dave

The host's house and the guest house are on the same property, but both are independent (only the exit from the property is shared). The house fully corresponds to the listing. We stayed during New Year's, so we didn't use the pool, but it was available and the view from the living room was very nice. The living room is really the porch of the guest house. In winter it is closed with transparent plastic blinds and the space is warmed with the stove and a heater. It's a bit of a cold space, but if you sit by the stove and with a blanket you can have a good green wine. 😉 The house is located in an elevated, quiet area and you can park at the door. You can walk to downtown Sintra in just 30 minutes, or drive (10 minutes) and pay an ORA ticket for 13 euros for the whole day. By car it only takes 20 minutes to Lisbon or Cascais. The host was always attentive and helped us with everything. Thank you. 🙂

For a week-end early April it was really nice to stay in the studio , with a very friendly cat for company, in the middle of the beautiful Alentejo country side surrounded the place , and a spectacular view specially early morning watching the sun rises, it was something very special to live. I will never forget .

We can only speak well of Claudia and her accommodation. Quiet, comfortable, with a spectacular backyard and everything you need to spend a few incredible days. We had a fir in the car and it has been with us in a magnificent way. We can only thank you and recommend the place and the area to everyone. Thank you very much Claudia.

We loved our stay here! Carole and Stuart are lovely, and the garden and view are out of this world! This is the perfect spot to stay while you explore Sintra. It’s a short walk into the heart of everything, but very quiet. All the details were well thought out, the beds comfy and the deep soaker tub divine. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay in the Little Suite. the space is small and cozy. we stayed two weeks. we are a couple who loves to cook and, the best part, was to explore the patio for cooking and for long meals and conversations. We went very few times to the restaurant, precisely because we valued our patio the outdoor kitchen more. The biggest challenge was the refrigerator, as there is no freezer for the ice. We quickly resolved this issue by buying ice in the supermix near the drug. We managed to conserve the ice 2 days before it defrosted completely in the refrigerator. We brought few clothes but enough for the relaxed and practical experience of the village. The house is in the heart of the gate. We did not use the car for anything. The beach was 15 min on foot. We are very eager to return. Mr. João is very available, well disposed and careful with his guests. Thank you for everything. We will return**

Highly recommended!🫶👍 Our first arrival day was in the midnight, Birgit and her two dogs gave us a warm welcome in front of the gate. Birgit was so nice and gave us some brief introduction to the room. In the morning of the second day, Birgit showed us around the garden and offered us two books about the local hiking trails, beaches and what to do around. The garden was very pretty, surrounded by green and beautiful trees and plants. The swimming pool was clean. She also provided us with a list of all the restaurants recommended. My boyfriend and I went to two of them, super nice and the prices was very reasonable. If you don’t know what to eat, just follow the recommendation😋. Nothing to complain and everything is just the same as the description. The location of the Villa is on the mountain, which makes the environment safe, natural, pretty and private. Highly recommended to rent a car, but if not, Bolt can easily take you everywhere as well.

Pedro described the arrival in detail to us in advance and was always responsive and responded quickly. It also had very good tips. Upon arrival, we got fresh oranges from our own garden, which we also enjoy 2 days after the visit. Thank you for that! There is a stove in the property and an air conditioning / heater. There is a double bunk bed downstairs and a double bed upstairs. We slept in the double bed. Maybe it's important to know you can't sit upright when you're up. It's also a little clairvoyant but we had Oropax with us and slept well. Thanks again Pedro !

Beautiful place! Loved being surrounded by nature. The nearby river is the perfect place to relax with loved ones or to meditate.

it's a nice and cute place. Only for 2 people I would say. Josefina is very attentive and responds to questions immediately.

We wanted a place that was quiet where we could rest but still go places easily. The room was lovely and the bed mattress was very comfortable, which is important. We slept great! The outside was very unique and well decorated and also had many very comfortable places to sit to read or lay in the sun. Our host was exceptional in all the help he gave us in recommending restaurants and places of interest. He was caring and was easy to talk to. Their two dogs were very friendly and their flock was well cared for and beautiful to see. It was a relaxing and wonderful getaway for us, and we were not disappointed. :)

The apartment had everything we needed, and within a five-minute drive we enjoyed beachside cafe and pizza place, along with a small local grocery store. The pool was lovely to return to, after day visits to Ericeira and Sintra. Johanna and Ronny were excellent hosts. Would highly recommend!

We had a nice stay at Ana & Joana's place. The Vila is really well taking care of. The outdoor spaces are really beautiful and pleasant with plenty of space to chill and enjoy by the pool. The apartment was pretty spacious and well equiped. It would have been good to know beforehand that the tourist tax, shower gel / shampoo, washing machine were not included in the price. Overall our stay was good!

A quaint little appt about six minutes walk away from the main marina area. The appt was very clean and also very well equipped with everything you would need if you chose to cook (hob only). Washing machine also available. Bathroom also well equipped with great shower. Would certainly book again.

The accommodation is one in a quiet area, a little set back from the historic center. But a 15-minute walk will allow you to get there. The pool is very nice… and the accommodation is coquettish. Manuel and Gloria are very attentive...all discreetly!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very spacious, located in a peaceful, green area, which made it a perfect place to relax. Anne-Marie and her husband are very friendly and accommodating hosts. The only constructive criticism we have is that the apartment was quite dusty overall, with many cobwebs. However, it was not dirty or unclean—both the kitchen and bathroom were reasonably clean.

Even better and bigger than the pictures suggest, would definitely stay again
