Ricardo’s cosy, well designed cabin offers great value and a very convenient base for Ponta Delgada and the west parts of the island. The space is thoughtfully laid out with a shower room, kitchenette with enough supplies for basic cooking, and a lovely outdoor space to sit and enjoy a coffee. I was travelling with a 4-year old and it worked well for us. I appreciated having a parking space within the compound (as it’s not always easy parking in Ponta Delgada) and it was also great to have a split AirCon unit as the nights were rainy and quite cold so this helped keep the room warm! Others have touched on this in reviews but to reiterate: the gardens are gorgeous and very tropical but location-wise it is on the outskirts of Ponta Delgada. With this in mind, you are getting a very convenient location with parking and easy access to the town (a 10 minute drive) but you will hear some traffic and it’s not a countryside location (though once inside it feels that way with the gardens).

This was one of the loveliest places we have stayed on. The peace of the location with stunning views of the mountains and only the sound of the birds to disturb the peace. It is an animal lovers haven with Joanne's three friendly dogs coming on walks with us and welcoming us home in the evening. While the road is rough we managed fine with a cheap Fiat Panda hire car, just watch out for Google maps taken you on impossible roads. We took the train to Lisbon (an accessible station only 25 minutes drive away). We had a day at stunning beach but most of all we enjoyed relaxing at this beautiful place. Charming little "garden house apartment" with its own seating in the garden and grill use. Lovingly furnished - small but nice! For us, a quiet place to feel good just outside the center of the city. We were allowed to store our wheels in the shed. Communication was great, thanks dear Celia! Will come again any time!

For a week-end early April it was really nice to stay in the studio , with a very friendly cat for company, in the middle of the beautiful Alentejo country side surrounded the place , and a spectacular view specially early morning watching the sun rises, it was something very special to live. I will never forget .

The stay was excellent! In the midst of the chaos of the blackout that happened, Célia was super solicitous making the situation less frightening. The way they welcome and the gifts they offer make the experience even better. The place is comfortable and cozy, with privacy and a large garden space. I highly recommend it!

Outstanding nice accommodation on the top of Aljezur

We enjoyed our stay with Katharina & Nelson very much and felt comfortable. They are extremely friendly hosts and go out of their way. The garden is also very nice and invites you to relax. The oranges, lemons, and avocados from the garden were especially great. Would highly recommend for your stay.

This Airbnb is spectacular in every way! The apartment is equipped with everything single thing and has stunning views. The hosts are welcoming and friendly people who clearly love to share their beautiful property with travelers. Carole went way beyond the call of duty when she waited up for our arrival until 2AM after our flight was cancelled and then another delayed. Carole and her husband, Stuart, are wonderful people who have fascinating stories. We enjoyed chatting with them. The apartment itself is so comfortable in every way and right in the historical center of Sintra so you can leave your car parked and just walk to everything. Still, the house is in a very quiet location. The host provides everything neded for breakfast, so we were able to enjoy that before going out for the day. The gardens on their property are beautiful; the apartment’s patio is amongst them. The pool looked magnificent. We would have loved to stay here much longer 2 nights!

Everything you need in a holiday home up to a smallest detail. Fully equiped kitchen practical bathroom and smaller bedroom. "cozy" for sure😎Hosts are incredibly nice, , wait for you on parking, welcome you with a soup on arrival, and brings some treats when you leave😍 Location is also great when you have rented car for trips around the island. If I have to come up with something to complain, I didn't really liked the bed, but that's just me, my wife liked it😅

Excellent location, lovely apartment!

We had a nice stay at Ana & Joana's place. The Vila is really well taking care of. The outdoor spaces are really beautiful and pleasant with plenty of space to chill and enjoy by the pool. The apartment was pretty spacious and well equiped. It would have been good to know beforehand that the tourist tax, shower gel / shampoo, washing machine were not included in the price. Overall our stay was good!

The apartment is very spacious and very cosy. You can even see the ocean from the terrace. It has everything you need and grocery shops are very close by. We felt very welcome and the communication with Ana & Jorge was perfect. We can highly recommend.

A quaint little appt about six minutes walk away from the main marina area. The appt was very clean and also very well equipped with everything you would need if you chose to cook (hob only). Washing machine also available. Bathroom also well equipped with great shower. Would certainly book again.

Everything was as described, very cool apartment, I recommend!

My partner and I had the most wonderful couple of nights at Casa Brava! Marco and Julie greeted us on arrival and made us feel right at home. The suite was beautifully decorated (and had everything we needed) and the grounds of the property were amazing - in particular the natural pool. Breakfast was also a highlight! We wished we could stay longer and will hopefully be back again!

The accommodation is one in a quiet area, a little set back from the historic center. But a 15-minute walk will allow you to get there. The pool is very nice… and the accommodation is coquettish. Manuel and Gloria are very attentive...all discreetly!
