Holiday rentals in Arco da Calheta

An apartment perfect for family. There were only the three of us, but it would easily fit three guests. The apartment is well-maintained, the beds are comfortable and have all the amenities. All that was needed was to wash the cutlery and glasses. The neighborhood is as described. Super bakery Flor to Garaju , we bought fresh, delicious potato rolls there every day. Good restaurants. The best -A Traineira is about a 30-minute walk, but it's really worth it! The beach is downhill all the time. The train is a 10-minute walk away and you can go down . Quiet, rocky beach. Under the block there is a bus stop, in 20 minutes you can get to the center of Funchal. Other than that it would be nice to have a car. Thanks to this, we explored almost the entire island. Plus, there's a spot in an underground parking lot. I would love to come to the same apartment again. I recommend!

We spent 20 days there and everything was perfect from start to finish. Maria and her husband were very helpful, generous with their advice, fruits from their vegetable garden and even cake:) We enjoyed the beautiful grounds and the large vegetable garden and sublime sunsets. Everything inspires the calm and sweetness of life. Only happiness:) The location is really perfect: very beautiful beaches and hikes a short distance away and the small village of Arco de Calheta nearby is super pretty, We had the pleasure of attending a beautiful and friendly village party! Thanks for everything:)

What a wonderful way to spend Christmas with adult family. The home is large, well equipped and very comfortable. Communication with Marisela was very easy and she was very helpful. Everything was faultless. We went to Funchal on Christmas Eve saw the lovely lights and Christmas market and sampled Poncha (warning this is lethal). Christmas Day we used the BBQ at the basement level for our meal, watched the sunset and played games (darts, table tennis and pool) - is a wonderful space for keeping everyone entertained. But in quiet times we looked at the lovely views from the balconies and read books. We found many excellent sights to see on the island including Whale and Dolphin watching from Calheta beach (highly recommend). Sadly we were all unwell (virus) during some of our stay and didn't do all of the trips we planned, so that means we will be returning ....Hopefully soon!

Lovely place with beautiful views. Great location, was not hard to find a parking on the streets. Kelly was always very quick to answer my questions. Each bedroom has her bathroom which makes it very convenient.

Very pleasant stay. Spacious and clean apartment, wooden floor. Underground parking. Perfect if you are planning to explore Madeira by car. Also nice view and large balcony. Recommended!

The apartment and the view are much nicer in real than the pictures. Very cozy apartment and the hosts are very likeable. We recommend the place to anyone who wants to have a breathtaking view and picturesque sunsets. In addition, the communication was friendly and we quickly felt at home. Kitchen is well equipped and bathroom as well.

Our stay at woodlovers was lovely! We greatly recommend this for anyone who likes a calmer environment and doesnt prioritize being in the city. Location is good for anyone who has a car and is exploring the island and its nature. The hosts were communicative and helpful which is appreciated. The cat family was also a welcome addition to our stay since we missed our cat at home.

Our stay in Madeira was wonderful and we loved this apartment. It was centrally located to a lot of restaurants and Carlos’ team was super accommodating of any questions we had. We loved our view in the morning and the traditional Madeira’s bread available in the shop next to us. We would definitely book this apartment again if we’re back in Madeira!

We had a wonderful stay at Susana's house in Jardim do Mar! The view is stunning and the house is very tastefully decorated. Susana was a great host and always responded to our questions right away. Jardim do Mar is a wonderful, charming village – perfect for relaxing. We will be happy to come back!
