Het Bonte Bovenhuis is een stijlvol verblijf in ons boutique hotel dat we in 2022 geopend hebben in het volledige gerenoveerde en verduurzaamde 17e eeuwse Rijksmonument in het plattelandsdorp Westzaan. Located within a national and governmental monument built in 1694, this loft suite offers beautiful countryside views and an air of tranquility. Free Wi-Fi, free parking and coffee and tea are all available. Please mind: the loft suite is because of the slope ceiling less convenient for very tall and/or very big persons. On just a short walk you'll find the famous windmills of De Zaanse Schans and railway station Zaandijk Zaanse Schans with a direct connection with Amsterdam Centraal 4xhour

Onze twee Superior kamers zijn perfect wanneer u op zoek bent naar iets meer ruimte. De Superior kamers stralen de geschiedenis van het gebouw echt uit dankzij de hoge plafonds en grote ramen. Geniet van het prachtig uitzicht op de Vismarkt en de warme sfeer van de kamer. De Superior kamers bieden veel natuurlijk daglicht dankzij de grote ramen. Onze Superior kamers zijn 17m2 en zijn voorzien van een zithoek, kingsize bed en luxe badkamer met inloop regendouche en toilet.

Located in the old city, just 1 minute walk to the Parc and the centre ring, we have a beautiful suite, with great view over the Singel. Small coffee shops, vegan, healthy food and a lot of cosy, affordable restaurants are within walking distance in the maybe the most beautiful city of the Netherlands . With the train station around the corner it is the perfect place (in the center of the country) to make your city trips to Amsterdam, Rotterdam or the Beach.

There is great history behind the hotel. The Vergulden Eenhoorn was established in 1702 as a city farm and used to be one of very few farmhouses the city of Amsterdam has. Together with the city of Amsterdam the farmhouse was fully renovated to modern standards, while maintaining the historic value and its features. The space is fully equipped with all necessities to make your stay as comfortable as possible!
