Located on the shore of Tully Pond, The Writers Retreat is a newly designed 325sqft lake side cottage with breathtaking views of Tully Mountain. This 4-season cottage is built with salvaged barn wood; up-cycled maple floors and custom built furniture and lighting. It's the little sister to The Fishing Cottage. You'll find this intimate home has everything you need to relax, write the next Great American Novel, connect with a lover, or just plain chill. Note: landscaping is a work-in-progress.
“At the first day of my stay, I recommended this beautiful place to a couple of my friends. And after meeting our hosts, I am confident about my recommendation. Patti and her husband are very kind, and they are very quick response and helpful all the time. Their place is s very cozy and romantic, special with a wonderful view of the lake in front. There are four small kayaks for boating in the lake too. We had a great time in Patti’s place and I highly recommend it specially for couples.”
Come relax in our private and cozy one room cabin tucked in the woods on the family homestead. Being artists, our cabin is also a gallery. A peaceful location for connecting with nature, writing, hiking. It's a 12'x16' cabin, with a comfortable queen size bed, electricity, mini refrigerator and electric kettle. Water is provided. Equipped with a clean outhouse and an outdoor hot shower on side of main house. ( May use indoor shower in main house in cooler months) Excellent spot for star gazing.
“Kerry's cabin is a magical and transcendent fairy land! I was very impressed by Kerry's communication and attentiveness. The cabin is very cozy (there's a space heater!) and PERFECT for a quiet getaway. I loved every aspect of the stay -- the fire pit, the stars, the outdoor shower, the view, the crickets, the kitchen amenities, the access to water. All of it is so thoughtful and beautiful -- highly highly highly highly recommend!!!”
This is a wonderful place to put aside your busy life. Enjoying a warm cup of coffee on the deck as the sun rises. The thin layer of fog dancing across the water as the ducks makes the only ripples to be seen. As you’re basking in the sun, playing on the water and lying on the hammock letting your worries disappear. The smell of steaks on the grill, corn on the cob and watermelon set up on the picnic table. In the evening as you finish your day with nice glass of wine watching the sunset.
“Location, location, location! What a lovely property right on the lake. The owners have really made the most of this little slice of heaven. It was perfect for our two young children to play in the sand and the shallow water while also allowing the adults opportunities to enjoy sun bathing, fishing, swimming, and boating. The house was cozy with lots of charm and thoughtful touches. The space was well utilized for what we needed inside and out. Cooking in the kitchen or grilling in the yard. Multiple seating options for lounging or eating inside and out. Some extra nice touches were the boardgames and toys. The hosts, Jason and Robin, were so responsive and you could tell they really took pride in sharing their family lakehouse with others. We can't wait to go back!”
