Day 1: Arrival & First Impressions I arrived in Bei Ning by taxi from the center of Hanoi, about 40 minutes drive, Phuong's homestay is located in a quiet area in Beining city, near the famous Đô temple.Phuong gave me detailed directions in the message ahead of time and also included a map so I found the place smoothly.She greeted me at the door with a warm smile and a glass of green tea endemic in Bei Ning, which was fresh and made me relax at once.The homestay is a two-story traditional Vietnamese house, with a small courtyard outside the house, a few egg flowers, and bamboo furniture in the house, with some traditional eastern lake painting (tranh Đông H), which makes me feel the rich Vietnamese country atmosphere.The room is clean and tidy and the window has a view of the rice field in the distance.I gave "Arrival" 4 stars because Phuong's guidance was clear, the arrival process was smooth, the only small downside was that the road near the B&B was a bit bumpy when the taxi came in. Day 2: Deep Experience & Connect The next morning, Phuong prepared a traditional Beining breakfast for me, with steamed rice rolls (bánh cuạn) with fried onion and fish sauce, and some fresh herbs to taste refreshing and delicious.She talked with me enthusiastically, although her English was limited, she communicated with me with her mobile translation software, and also taught me a few simple Vietnamese words, like "cạm ơn" (thank you).Phuong suggested that I go to the nearby temple to walk, a famous Buddhist sanctuary in Beining, an ancient temple building, and locals praying there, making me feel a strong religious atmosphere.In the afternoon, I went to the eastern lake village in Beining (Làng Đông Hạ), visiting the process of making traditional wood prints, and bought an East Lake painting with roosters as a memorial.After returning to the homestay, Phuong and I shared the tradition of "Quan H ⁕" folk songs in Beining, she even hummed a little bit, the voice was euphemistically, making me even more obsessed with the local culture.I gave "communication" 4 stars because Phuong was very attentive and although the language was not working, her enthusiasm and patience made the exchange pleasant.The only minor issue was the occasional disconnection of the Wi-Fi signal at the homestay, which affected me to look up some travel information. Day 3: Quality & Departure On the morning of the third day, I was planning to visit Beining City, and Phuong knew I was going out early and intentionally prepared a takeaway breakfast for me, including a few rice bangs (bánh chưng) and a small bottle of her homemade plum juice, which made me feel thoughtful.The overall "quality" of the B&B also satisfied me, the beds are comfortable, the mosquito net is clean, the water pressure in the bathroom is stable, and the hot water supply is also abundant.The only minor downside was the slightly poor sound insulation of the room, and the sound of chicken crows and motorcycles from the neighbors outside the courtyard in the morning, but this is also a feature of rural life, and Phuong was a heads up, so I still gave 4 stars.Before leaving, Phuong sent me a small hand woven arugula and also took a photo with me, she said I hope I can attend next time I come back to Bei Ning
