I can't say enough good things about our stay at Houseboat65. I was there with five other folks - a couple & their two kids (8 & 11) and another single person. We had the three apartments on the second floor — perfect. I got lucky and slept in a gorgeous three-room space surrounded by windows, which filled the room with light. We spent a lot of time on the Nile-facing porches, chatting and having cocktails. It felt like our own little slice of calm and peace in busy Cairo. Jerome and the amazing Marie (we love you, Marie!) were beyond responsive: anything we needed (and that wasn't much: these spaces are well-stocked) or any time we needed assistance with luggage, etc., they were there in a flash. Marie served as our driver and top-notch tour guide for two days and wow - we felt so comfortable and well-taken care of. She knows the city so well and didn't hesitate to take us to some very far-flung locations. We can't WAIT to tell our friends about our stay and hope we get to come back!

Nice place and stunning balcony. The building is nice and the neighbors are quiet. The place wasn’t that clean but the host was very responsive to feedback and he will hire a different cleaning person from now. And he even brought a microwave when I asked! Great full service place. My only tip is that if you are a light sleeper, this place isn’t good for you. There’s a lot of construction outside and it shakes the whole apartment and makes a lot of noise. It’s not in the host’s control and hopefully will be done soon.

A beautiful apartment in the heart of Cairo- homey, clean, and beautifully decorated. Definitely will book again and recommend anyone to book. The assistant at the property was also incredibly helpful.

It was a beautiful experience being with at the place . I was very understanding and the place was full of life and positivity. The staff was very cooperative and wonderful.

i needed a touch-down place to stay for a conference nearby and Fatema's place was in the perfect location for me. she was also wonderfully helpful, thorough, and prompt in replying to all my questions, before & during my stay. i was already familiar with the neighborhood and felt right at home when I arrived. the building can be busy in the evenings because of the clinics, which are open late in the evenings. my visit overlapped with a major holiday and the weekend so for me this was not much of an issue. the flat was exactly as described and very cute; close to good places to eat and lots of small grocers and places to buy fruit & veg, and you simply can't beat the downtown location for proximity to anything you need to get done in Cairo. Bab al-Luq is a lively and active neighborhood so if peace and quiet is a must, perhaps go elsewhere, but I enjoyed being right in the middle of Cairo life. i definitely highly recommend and I hope to be able to visit and stay again soon!

I honestly felt like staying at my home even if it was for short time. Lomi's place is extremely tidy and clean. All the things you might need will be found in her apartment. I'd love to come back!

The place looked absolutely great, exactly like the photos! We really enjoyed the balcony and the living room next by. Only consideration was the noise from the street as the apartment is located close to rail tracks, nonetheless it’s manageable. The host gave clear instructions and we really liked the place.

A beautiful, clean, comfortable and remote place, close to old and new Cairo, furniture and appliances are clean and tidy, in addition to continuous support and great service throughout the stay and their upscale treatment.

The apartment was simply perfect - it was clean, had all amenities (+amazing rooftop), and is located in a great area with plenty of shopping and sights around it. It was made even better by the host who was super responsive and helpful during my whole stay. Check-in/out was easy and I felt so welcomed. Cant recommend enough!!

The apartment exceeded expectations from the cleanness of the rest of the psyche in it and everything you need and the same descriptions feel at home and the services of Mr. Moataz All Choi sends and asks I mean, let you be embarrassed by his morality. An unreal experience with a very responsive host. Wanted a 5star accommodation and that’s what I received. Would highly recommend and thank the host for the great 10 days spent.

Bassem is a really good host. He is very friendly and helpful and reacts super fast. His apartment is amazing. We stayed there for the second time and it has a lot of space and an amazing rooftop terrace. The location is great, there are a lot of restaurants reachable in walking distance. We will definitely come back again.

I spent 29 days at this great place, just renovated. Very clean, the furniture quality is good, everything there as described and better. The owner (Amenah) is so helpful, cooperative, and friendly. During our stay, she didn’t hesitate to help in anything and followed with us to the end. For sure will not be the last time for us to deal with her and wish her all the best.

Spacious apartment in a good location. We had some issues with the Wifi but Amira was responsive and rectified it. We also appreciated her for calling an ambulance when a member of my family became very ill.
