La Bodega (the cellar) de Casa del río is an independent one-bedroom apartment with private bathroom, kitchen and living room, built on a ground floor. The kitchen is equipped to cook your own simple meals (but not oven/microwave). The apartment is basic and minimalist, but it’s also very comfortable and has everything you need for a enjoyable and simple stay. The apartment has views to the valley, a private terrace with amazing views and an independent entrance. You can also use the common areas and the big garden. Please be aware that the apartments do not have washing machine, TV or microwave/oven. If you can’t live without those, this may not be the perfect place for your stay. Phone signal and wifi work perfectly and are quite reliable. Casa del río is the perfect way to scape the noise and experience first-hand living a simple and sustainable life in an Asturias village off the beaten track. The property is ideal for people who want to be away from the noise and crowds, as it is quite isolated and the village of Xio has no services at all. Closest services are a bar/restaurant/swimming pool 10min by car, and shops, supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, petrol station, etc…20min by car.

Morriña is a recently renovated house (2019) on the banks of the River Miño, where the water ‘crashes’ against the house's porch. It has two exterior bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and a spacious living room with a fireplace and a conservatory overlooking the river on the upper floor. A kitchen with a dining area and a WC, with access to the patio and the porch, on the ground floor. A great deal of attention has been paid to lighting and comfort. Each apartment is independent and has its own entrance from the square. The shared garden is located at the top of the house. Before booking, please bear in mind that we're in a small mountain village, far from towns and services. The access is via mountain roads. There's no Wi-Fi and mobile coverage is limited. Our dogs and chickens live at La Rectoral, so we can only accept sociable dogs that are used to living with other animals.
