A refurbished cottage dating back to Victorian times within a small group of rural properties, opposite picturesque St. Barnabas Church Setmurthy; enjoying beautiful Lakeland views towards the Skiddaw Massif & Binsey. Situated in the lovely village of Portinscale this warm detached family home provides everything you might want to enjoy a stay in the Lake District. We are situated 5 minutes walk from Derwent Water and the Nicol End Marina for kayaking and water activities. Portinscale has a pub that serves food and a cafe. Our favourite eating places nearby are Swinside Inn and the Ivy Restaurant in Braithwaite. Keswick is a mere 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk for eating out, shopping and outdoor sports.

Lovely self contained apartment, private entrance, key pad access. Large en-suite king-size room with vaulted ceiling, relaxing chairs for reading, fluffy towels, robes and luxury products. Beautiful garden with BBQ/wood burning-stove. Bassenthwaite Lake is short walk and The Royal Oak pub is in the next village (Braithwaite) just over 1 mile away. The X5 bus runs past the door to Cockermouth, Workington to the west and to Keswick via Braithwaite (the pub). Great reviews and superhost.

Our luxury detached Lakeland cottage in the village of Lorton sits in a hidden gem of a valley and is a year round destination . Two beautiful bedrooms one of which can turn into single beds and each with their own bathrooms offers flexibility for both couples and families. We have a well equipped cooks kitchen with Everhot range and a stocked larder. Parking for three cars , EV charger , bike storage , gardens and a BBQ this is a great base to enjoy the magic of our Lakeland valley.

Our cedarwood lodge has been designed and built for our family and friends to use when they visit. It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. The lodge has been designed to make the most of those idyllic views and is a retreat for anyone wanting to relax, unwind and enjoy our “world Heritage” status.

Set within extensive gardens, in a tranquil rural hamlet, in the quieter NW corner of the Lake District National Park. Quiet, yet easily accessible by road and rail (9 miles) and within walking distance of the local pub. It is equidistant between the towns of Keswick, Cockermouth and Wigton. The nearest Wainwright (Binsey) is walkable from the front door. The house is 4/5 bedrooms, has a large family dining table, 3 lounges, each with stoves (one convertible to a bedroom).
