This exquisite country cottage is a romantic, cosy and comfortable place to spend quality time as a couple or as a small family or group. Every effort has been taken to make it special: Hypnos beds, luxury linens, wood burner, cosy throws, toiletries, 2 Smart TVs, outdoor dining. The location is perfect; peaceful countryside but only 18 minutes from Bath with a bus at the end of the road. Take stunning walks from the doorstep, walk to the local pub or visit many NT properties and Cotswold towns.

The North Transept

The North Transept is part of our converted Victorian Gothic church. We've done all the conversion ourselves - the high ceilings and beautiful Gothic windows make it a unique space. It's in a small hamlet in a beautiful hidden valley surrounded by fields; there's lovely walking from the door and lots of local wildlife including roe and muntjac deer, pheasants, red kites and owls. It's easy to get to a wide range of local attractions like Lacock and Avebury and only half an hour to Bath.

The Flat at Axfords Patch offers modern and self contained accommodation. It is 13 minutes walk to the National Trust village of Lacock. The property is next door to the well known Whitehall Garden Centre, famous for its Christmas displays. There are two cafes available at Whitehall and there are a further 3 pubs with dining in Lacock. Plenty to explore nearby whether on foot with one of the many local walking routes or by car (e.g. Bath, Longleat, Castle Combe).

A few minutes' level walk to Melksham town center, bus stops, pubs and shops while being totally secluded. Bedroom has clothes storage, dressing table & workspace. The living room has a single sofa bed, TV, dining table, fridge, microwave and kettle plus there's a large shower room & toilet making it a self-contained base for any visitor. Room has off-street parking, its own entrance and, if cycling, we can find somewhere safe and dry to store the bikes.
