This snug, grass-roofed eco-cabin offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a warm Irish welcome, mountain walks on the Beara Way or snorkelling through nearby reefs. Sample local cheeses, lamb, fish and seafood or stoke up the wood-burning stove, have a glass of wine and and savour the peace and tranquillity! Word of warning: we are VERY remote, (1km off the road down a rough track). With almost no public transport, own transport (eg car) is highly recommended - see Getting Around!

The Beara Bus....with Awesome Views

The Beara Bus is a unique living space situated on the coastline with stunning views across the Atlantic to the Sheeps Head and Mizen Head Peninsulas and Bere Island. The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

Sea Front Apartment on the Wild Atlantic Way.

Get away from it all and come to our relaxing haven by the sea. Enjoy sitting out while having your breakfast (if the weather allows) and all you will hear is the sound of the waves and the birds. Stroll down to the bottom of the garden where you can pop in for a dip or enjoy a longer swim. Bring your own kayaks, or explore the area on bikes whatever you fancy. Go kayaking with seals in adrigole, picnic on the beach, or take long winter strolls! Or maybe just watch Netflix and relax !

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.

We are a working beef farm and can look after your bikes/motorbikes on site in a safe environment. The Pods have wonderful mountain views and to those who enjoy nature and getting away from the madness for a little while, then this is for you. Each pod is like a little mini apartment. Just over 100 meters from the sea and a short walk to award winning restaurant and bar. Marie's is tastefully renovated and is suitable for 2 adults. (travel cot available) The living area is spacious. Great area for walks and exploring west Cork.
