Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Bega Valley Shire Council

A short break away 3.5hrs from home for a couple of well travelled seniors and their old (but still very active) small dog. Well worth the drive. Attractively presented sympathetically renovated, pet friendly, period cottage with great outdoor areas ;including a firepit /BBQ area and an immaculate 2 person Sapphire spa on an expansive rear deck. .. from where we watched the local bat colony head out on dusk both evenings wine glass in hand of course. The spotlessly clean, SMEG equipped kitchen (including milk in the fridge) was a stand out for us (as we always self cater), whilst the comfortable queen bed in the master bedroom (erring on the soft side) suited us both perfectly....as did the large 70 inch wifi equipped TV on a rolller stand. Lock box access made key access convenient and hand written instructions, and a few freebies, incl a voucher for the local Cafe, were a nice touch and appreciated. Very happy to recommend this property. Rgds.

Comfortable, well equiped and exceeded extectations. Rocluse was perfect for a getaway with older children, especially being so close to the beach.

Tarquin and Danie'l are lovely hosts who made us feel at home in their beautiful historic house. They have made it very comfortable with well chosen rugs and linen, and lots of little details that makes a holiday stay feel like staying at a friend's house. Local products and produce gave a sense of being part of the Tilba community, and they gave us local recommendations for walks and cafes. As they live next door they manage the perfect balance of interested host, whilst giving privacy. I thoroughly recommend staying with them in Tilba.

loved the accommodation everything was better than the photos showed , the views were spectacular and the whole family got a great workout walking around Merimbula .

We had a wonderful few days at this fantastic beach house. The view from the deck is even better than the pictures (although it gets hot in the afternoon). A quick walk to Bar Beach, Short Point and the Wharf, and an easy stroll into town (less easy on the way up but the view makes it worth it!) Friendly and responsive hosts, good amenities - would definitely come back again.

Fantastic host with a house in a perfect location.

Beautiful beach front location. Walkable to Blue Pool and shops/restaurants. We had a lot of whale sightings during our stay (October). Great coffee at Honorbread. Large home, clean and well maintained. Only constructive criticisms would be checking in via a real estate (although they were great) isn’t ideal. The home is showing its age and is only partially renovated. There was no linen provided. Overall good value, but a few thoughtful changes around check-in/out, linen and updates would justify the price. Would stay again!
