Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Bicester

We stayed at Compton House with a group of friends for a birthday celebration and the house was perfect. Location was great for dog walking and for wandering into Chipping Campden village with it’s lovely shops. Beautifully clean and we were left a welcome pack that was such a lovely touch. Would highly recommend

My friend and I stayed for two nights in this lovely cottage, right on the edge of a country park. The cottage interior is spotless, cosy and tastefully decorated. The modern kitchen was pristine. The location is wonderful, right on the edge of a country park, and very private. I look forward to returning. :)

Excellent location within easy distance of bars, pubs, restaurants and shops. Easy to check in and flexible on check in and check out. Very well appointed and kitted out accommodation which was very clean and lacked nothing. Comfortable beds and linens. Very sociable space. Helpful, responsive and informative hosts. The eight of us had a fantastic stay in such a lovely house.

We had a lovely two day stay at Brenda's place with our two boys. The house itself was spotless, with a lovely garden and in an amazing location right next to a play park our 3 year old loved. Brenda was extremely responsive and the bag of baby toys left out was a nice touch!

We had a lovely weekend, it was the perfect location for a family get together. The cottages were spotless and had everything that we needed. The location was ideal for us and there was lots to see and do in the area. Good directions and plenty of parking. A shame about the weather as we would have liked to use the large outdoor seating area. Highly recommended.

A really lovely hideaway for a few days. Fully equipped with everything we needed plus a fantastically huge telly and surround sound! Great location with excellent pub across the road and some good walks on the doorstep. Pete and Rachel were welcoming and very helpful and we throughly enjoyed our stay.

Nadia’s place was exactly as described and looked just like the photos! Nadia was a lovely host and very attentive. My partner and I had a really lovely time! Would definitely book again!

The flat is lovely and ideal for a short break in Stratford Upon Avon. It is clean and we were so surprised how close we were to the RSC and the many eateries. Susie communicated well with us and we would definitely like to stay again the next time we have tickets for the RSC! Also, seeing a swan outside the window with her eggs was a delight

Lovely modern apartment attached to the owners centuries old home. Immaculate throughout and in a quiet location on the outskirts of Witney. On this occasion I used as a mid way stop off to travel into Southern England but this would be a great location to explore the Cotswolds and all it has to offer. Highly recommend and I hope I’ll be able to stay again in the future.

We had a fabulous two night stay at the Old Post Office to celebrate a birthday. Already familiar with the area as we have visited Broadway a couple of times previously and centrally located with the added bonus of car parking. The flat was beautifully appointed, welcoming and spotlessly clean. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Lizzie was an excellent host, with clear instructions and very responsive.

Really lovely apartment - well equipped. Great decor . Wallingford is great for walks and restaurants.

Stayed at the flat with a friend for a girls’ catch up and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is great and so peaceful considering it’s in the centre of Cirencester. Check-in is easy and we found free parking nearby for both cars. The property is warm and cosy, with lovely bedding and everything else you could need. I’ve travelled many times to the Cotswolds but this was my first time in Cirencester and absolutely loved it. It’s really easy to explore other beautiful towns and villages from there too. We’re definitely planning to meet there again and stay at Martin’s property.

We had a fantastic weekend stay! This place is exactly as the description suggests and allowed us to relax immediately. Lovely places to walk and eat in the surrounding area too! Thank you!

Maureen and Andy are the best hosts we have ever had, and we have been to many airbnb's over the past 8 years. From picking us up at the train station upon arrival, and dropping us back at the end of our stay. Maureen also dropped us off at neighbouring villages, when she had her own excursions and we returned via the local bus back to Morton. And Andy as well, toured us around villages on a Sunday when buses are not always available. The barn annex, is beautifully decorated with a high quality of furnishings, and for those who cook (we do) it had everything we needed, with ample counter space to work. We were very comfortable during our stay and feel this was the perfect spot for a Cotswold visit. We were sorry to leave and we wished we had booked a longer stay.

We stayed at the villa for 4 days to celebrate my aunt's 80th birthday and it was just as perfect as in the photos. They house is extremely clean and well-stocked with all the amenities you could possibly need. Alasdair was very proactive, providing clear instructions and recommendations that were very helpful. You could tell that the house is laid out in a very thoughtful manner to make it as convenient as possible for the guests. One of the best airbnb stays we've had that exceeded our expectations in every way!!

We had a wonderful group stay at Anthony’s beautiful home. It is a unique property, rich in history and stunning interiors. The large garden was lovely to relax in and we enjoyed several local walks. The house is warm, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Anthony was kind and responsive from the start and could not do enough to help. We would recommend this property highly.

Lovely house - was perfect for a medium-sized group (8 adults and a few under-5s). The views over the balconies are lovely and crucially the balconies are west / southwest facing, meaning we got lots of sunshine unlike the properties on the other side of the lake. It was end of Feb 2025 and we were happily walking around in t-shirts and making full use of the hot tub! Overall it's a lovely house with great sized bedroom, nice bathrooms with showers etc. We had a private chef cater dinner one evening and he had plenty of space (and we had more than enough space at the table for the adults). Jan kindly left us a bottle of wine too which we put to good use. Around the lake there are walks you can do, a spa (access to which is included as part of the stay) which worked great with the kids (who loved the main swimming pool), a playground, tennis courts etc. Overall would highly recommend.

House was lovely. We spent Christmas week with multi generational family and it was perfect. Plenty of room and very comfortable. House was exactly as expected with lots of great amenities and tidy. We were able to prepare a full Christmas meal with everything there!. Lots of beautiful villages to explore nearby. Jan and Jamie were responsive and friendly and stopped by to make sure we were comfortable and settled. Definitely recommend.

We didn’t actually stay in the house we booked due to a fault with the heating. But the communication from the hosts was excellent and they sorted us an alternative very quickly and we couldn’t fault anything. Had the perfect weekend for a family celebration.

The place matched and exceeded the description and photos. It was exceptionally clean upon our arrival and well decorated. There was an abundance of cutlery, utensils, dinnerware, etc. Management company were extremely communicative before and through-out. Would 100% recommend this house for future traveler's.

Susan's place is absolutely lovely. It's a wonderful example of a stylish English home for family or friends reunions. The outdoor space is safe and a wonderful place for children. The house is truly a home and has that warm and inclusive vibe. We will definitely be back.

We chose this house as it was near Oxford where we wanted to be to celebrate a family birthday. It was a perfect location with a bus stop at the end of the drive with frequent buses into the city centre. The house was spacious and catered for all our needs, there is also a good sized garden, the property is quiet and private. Percy was a good host who was flexible with our arrival time and helpful when we arrived.
