Treehouse holiday rentals in Bocas del Toro Province

I could not have imagined a more magical place to stay on Bocas del Toro. This beautiful casita is directly across the street from the beach, and yet also nestled up a hill, right in the rainforest. We could see and hear howler monkeys, in the tree across from us. The daybed was our favorite place to enjoy the sounds and scenery, from our vantage point in the trees. Heather and her daughter, Eva, were extremely nice and accommodating. They gave us recommendations and contacts to taxi drivers and tour guides. One of their dogs spent a lot of time with us and even accompanied us on our walk to the beach! Please, please, please, do yourself a favor and stay here. It is close enough to the main part of town, for you to go pick up groceries or visit the bar/restaurant scene, but far out enough for a peaceful, nature-filled escape.

If you want to spend few days in colorful jungle, this is a place for you. Dorien is an amazing host, taking care of chocolate Finca and all the guests with big passion. we stayed in XL Treehouse and it was an amazing experiences. We saw so many birds even from our treehouse, and all around us flowers, fruits, sloth and so many differet birds, also tucans. And chocolate tour was delicious and full of information. Amazing!!!

We had an unforgettable stay at CocoVivo. It’s wild and beautiful - not polished, just pure nature. Our hut over the water was simple, clean, and eco-friendly, with a ‘ pipi only’ loo and solar power - compost loo elsewhere, for obvious reasons! I love that it started as part of a reforestation project, the connection to the land really comes through. They helped coordinate a 30-min boat taxi from Bocas Town, which made things easy. Wi-Fi was surprisingly good! Bring strong repellent - the sandflies are persistent. We walked the ‘sloth loop’ often - saw sloths (including babies!) and poison dart frogs. The extended walk, you should be prepared for more rugged terrain. Snorkelling was beautiful, and night snorkelling with bioluminescence felt like swimming through stars. The food was incredible - we requested vegetarian - it was fresh, full of flavour, and some of the best we’ve had! We loved the nature, and the way of life. Had a great stay!!! Miriam was very welcoming and kind!!!😊She took the time to suggest local activities and was very available. La Cabana was very well equipped and very clean, the pool too and the bed very comfortable!!The back view is beautiful over the jungle , there are even hawling monkeys who came to do their show right in front of the gallery! OMG! You can hear a little cars passing on the way next door but the place is still quiet with beautiful jungle sounds. La Cabana is a little further from the city ( which is part of its charm too) it is a nice long walk to do with a walk on the seaside. 2 electric bikes are available for rent on site directly in La Cabana , also there are several taxis, buses, ATV scooter rental etc as a means of transport! There are plenty of possibilities😊Anyway, I recommend this place and THANK YOU again Miriam for everything! Loved my stay ♥️

Dorian little cabin in the wood was so nice! It is very comfortable, you feel like sleeping in the middle of the wood. Dorien family was welcomed to us, her kids are the best. We played cards with them and had fun! Dorien is also a very welcoming host, she explained us everything and took the time to chat with us :) the food is great, I’m vegetarian and I loved the options. I give 5 stars as everything was perfect! The only thing you have to be aware is that coming to this place might be a bit expensive (50$ per trip so 100$ go and back) , for small budget it might be difficult.

Our stay at Nina and Nesto’s place was a unique experience in the middle of the jungle of bastimentos island. The hosts were great and very welcoming. Nesto even took us on a tour to the bat cave (recommended if you are not claustrophobic or afraid of bats or swimming in a cave)! We spent two nights there and we enjoyed it a lot! Right when we arrived a sloth was just climbing up a tree not far from the house! definitely recommended to nature lovers! Thanks a lot for having us!

Staying in La Selva was just the right choice for Bocas. I didn't think these cabins would be so comfortable. The employees and Lilly were very friendly and responded to individual requests. Thanks again!

We had an amazing time in this hideaway, surrounded by nature. We were woken every morning by the sounds of howler monkeys and birds. Saw yellow tails, monkeys, toekans and humming birds in the garden. Short drive to beautiful bluff beach (or 40 minute walk) and short drive to Bocas town for lovely dinners. Host Wally is amazing.

Wonderful spot a little bit away from town.

10/10. Perfect location. 2 min walk to the best surf break in Bocas. Adorable cabin. Will be back! David was super accommodating, let us check in early and always responsive.
