La Lampisterie - Converted workshop on cycle route

Step back in time at La Lampisterie, a beautifully restored former railway workshop in the heart of Southern Burgundy. Built in 1889, this unique stone building once housed the vital operation of the old station and was where all the signal and carriage lamps were maintained, cleaned and refueled. Today, this piece of history has been transformed into a characterful and comfortable gîte with direct access to the Voie Verte, a 75km paved cycling path that follows the route of the old railway.

Our cottage was partly renovated by us to make it a welcoming and relaxing place. This old barn where my grandfather and then my dad pressed the grapes, from this time there remains the screw of the press which proudly stands in the center of the living room. Taizé is a municipality known for its place of worship and its tourist region, notably Cluny, 7 km away. This peaceful accommodation offers a relaxing stay for the whole family. A 50 m2 house with two bedrooms in a row will be enough to satisfy you. A beautiful exterior with swing, slide, ping pong table and shaded area to eat in the summer. Our house is along the greenway, which is great for bike rides. The price includes linens and towels.
