We had a wonderful stay at Akwa house. There are plenty of spaces for the kids to relax and have fun while the adults could sit in the lounge overlooking the beautiful views. We loved the quiet location and family-friendly feel of the street. The kitchen was well stocked and we slept very comfortably in all the rooms. I would definitely recommend Akwa house to anyone looking for a great home right close to the beach.

5 Stars. Highly recommended! We had an incredible stay in Voëlklip, Hermanus. The surroundings are peaceful and scenic, with the mountains as a backdrop and the soothing sound of the ocean always present. It’s a perfect location for walking to the beach with the doggo's or to go for a beach activity like playing beach cricket. The home itself is ideal for families and friends who love spending time together. The kitchen and entertainment area are open and cozy, making it a joy to cook, chat, and relax. The pool table added loads of fun and really made the evenings memorable. All in all, a fantastic destination and highly recommended for anyone looking for a coastal escape with comfort, space, and natural beauty.

It's our third stay at this villa at Kennedys and it remains a spectacularly beautiful and different destination. The villa is eclectic with interesting furnishings reflecting the world travels of the owners. There are different place to site inside and outside and the location of the kolkol hot tub is truly spectacular with views across the lagoon and onto Onrus beach. The magical milkwood trees set the tone for a magical stay. The villa has all the amenities you could want, James the butler is always in attendance when you need him and the privacy is great. Its easy walking distance to Milk Restaurant and there are great coastal walks from the villa if you feel the need to leave your luxurious apartment. The fact that we have been there three times already speaks volumes about just how much we like it there and we will be back for a fourth time.

We had a wonderful stay at Leatitia’s place. Leatitia welcomed us warmly and we felt extremely relaxed and comfortable during our stay. The location is top class…walking distance to all the beaches within the Voelklip area. Long lazy afternoons enjoying the garden and Braai area. The snooker table was a wonderful fun addition. The cottage was very clean and as described. Leatitia was very responsive and helpful. Great location - would definitely recommend.

It is a great place with lots of kitchen equipment. Plenty of comfortable places to sit and relax with a good view of the sea. The bedrooms are comfortable and are both en-suite. The house is close to the cliff path that runs nexf to the sea all the way to down to the town centre. The path also leads to a number of swimming beaches within a 5 minute walk.

Lovely beach house in a superb location, only a very short walk to the beach. Well suited for 2 larger families or 3 smaller families traveling together. All amenities were fully stocked. What was particularly nice is that most of the bedrooms had en suite bathrooms which is helpful for those with teenagers or slightly older children.

The cottage was private and plenty of outside space for our beach toys and dogs.

Our family of 5 spent a wonderful week in this beautiful house over new years. The house is in a great position in Voelklip - it is very secure and well kitted out. Lovely to sit outside in the shaded garden in the evenings and kids loved the pool. Great hosts and easy check-in and check-out. We will be back!

Chane and Chris who manage the complex were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. The views from the apartment are fantastic. Saw dolphins and whales regularly. Need a car to access the amenities in Hermanus. Would be helpful to have recommendations in the apartment about supermarkets, restaurants, taxi’s and local tourist attractions. Whale Rock is like an oasis.

Madeleine's place was amazing! Great views and scenery, Hermanus is a lovely town and there is so much to do.

Staying in Hermanus was a wonderful experience. The house was modern, stylish, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Di's place was ideal for a family get-together. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the town, with spectacular cliff walks in either direction. The house is well kitted out with everything you could need, and is in easy walking distance of all the restaurants, shops, galleries etc. We had a wonderful few days in Hermanus. Thanks very much.

The house has a perfect concept, is fully equipped and is beautifully located just in front of the open sea. The information before arriving is very complete and the response to questions immediate. Would love to come back for longer and can definitely recommend it! Frederic

We only had a short one night stay, but David was a pleausre to deal with and the dwelling has a great location right on the ocean. Out your door onto the rocks. We did not have time bit there is a clubhouse with gym and entertainments 50m away. We were sorry we could not stsy longer.

We had a great stay at this lovely 4 bedroom home, which is situated just a few minutes walk from the best beaches in Hermanus, the stunningly scenic cliff path as well as a number of good restaurants. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped, including DSTV, wi-fi, all sorts of kitchen appliances, indoor and outdoor braais. The outdoor pool is also very nice and typically a good few degrees warmer than the ocean temperature. Janet was also a great host. She is very responsive and accommodating. We hope to return again soon!

The place was lovely and just as described. Clean, beautiful surroundings, easy and flexible check in. Janet is a great and responsive host who made us feel very welcome and offered many local recommendationsof things to see and do! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is thinking of visiting Hermanus and it's surrounding areas.

We were at Villa the cherry with my wife and my 3 kids (14/12/9), the place is fabulous, we have an easy access to best activities around (houses trail, fatbike, shark cage, whales boat, natural caves, natural reserve walks) and the Villa itself is proposing the best view on the bay you will never have. For us in 6 days we have seen 50+ whales just watching from our master bedroom. It makes a big difference. And to add Annick is a tremendous host that facilitates our stay, arranging custom breakfast, and chef at the Villa. Thank you again Annick and I’m definitely recommending this place to all !

This place is in a great location, tastefully decorated, a spectacular view of the bay, and you will leave with wonderful memories. Everything you need can be found inside and it is hard not to relax and enjoy the view.

65 on 9th was a really nice break. Well located, short walk to Cliff path that leads to several beaches which we enjoyed walking. Also easy walk to 2 Restaurants and a garage + shop that sells great biltong, wood, meats and icecream. Rooms are spacious and each have a bathroom that is in top notch condition. Open plan living area with large kitchen and table is great for family gatherings. I would have liked some cover over the braai area (we had some rainy wheather) and few more upright chairs to sit on in that area, but otherwise there is lots of comfortable seating and also nice upper deck with sea and Mountain views. The cleaning lady is included once a week, but we were able to ask her to come in every second day which was great. Jen was proactive and informative throughout the stay checking in if everything is going well. Great stay will go again! Perry family

We had a wonderful stay at this holiday house! The host was fantastic—great communication and very clear instructions made everything super easy. We especially appreciated the flexibility with check-in and check-out, which made our trip even more relaxing. The location is absolutely perfect—just a two-minute walk to the beach and the stunning cliff path, which was ideal for morning walks and sunset views. The house sits on a large plot with plenty of space, giving it a lovely, open feel. As mentioned in the listing, the house itself is quite outdated, but it’s still very comfortable. The beds and bedding were excellent, and the rooms were spacious. The bathrooms are on the smaller side and not the most modern, but for a weekend stay, it really wasn’t an issue. Overall, a great place for a relaxing getaway in a stunning location! Would definitely recommend.

It is a pity that it is not a good season for whale watching when we stay, otherwise you can see the whales directly through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the house, it is surely a very spectacular scene! Communication was great, there was a PDF for us to refer to when we checked in.Although it was said that the host said in the pdf that the work time was after 9pm, it was already around 10pm when we arrived and the host assisted us to check in smoothly. Cons: The bed is relatively small, and if it's a tall person, your feet may be exposed.

Really loved our stay at Seehuis. Karin and Theresa were lovely hosts. The house is in a fantastic position right on the beach, and you can fall asleep listening to the waves crashing. The house is very comfortable, lots of accommodation and very well laid out. Its a practical beach holiday house. There is a little shop in town that has many supplies. We had a fantastic week. Thank you!
