n the heart of the Loire Valley, along the Thouet River: a 700 square foot converted barn (newly renovated) with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The house is ideally-situated in the heart of the Anjou wine region, a few miles from Saumur (well-known for it's castle and the French National Horse-Riding School, ''Le Cadre Noir'', wine growers, and troglodytes sites). Also nearby: important castles in Angers, Chinon, Montreuil-Bellay, Brézé, as well as Europe's largest monastic center, the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, which features an excellent music and cultural program. Other worthwhile day trips include the exquisite Loire Valley castles, such as: Chambord, Blois, Cheverny, Azay le Rideau, etc. The house, which is about 187 miles from Paris (300 km), or about 2 hours by TGV, can accomodate two couples with children (sleeps six altogether). The appartement includes : an entrance hall, a large sitting and dining room with a small equiped kitchen, one bedroom, a bathroom, and a small bedroom on a mezzanine level.

Château Tower in Heart of Loire Valley

The tower is completely self-contained and its pretty, covered balcony offers breathtaking views over the château's truffle orchard. This former artist's studio, which belonged to the photographer of the city of Saumur at the beginning of the 20th century, makes this place unique with its glass roof over 4 meters high, overlooking the oldest church in the city. The apartment is located in the hyper center, next to free parking, on a pedestrian street known for its many restaurants. This accommodation will allow you to access the Château on foot via the banks of the Loire or by walking the streets of the old town.

The kitchenette is equipped, with an additional electric capsule coffee maker, toaster and microwave oven. The toilet is separate and the bathroom is completed with an electric towel dryer and a hair dryer.
